Hmm, It looks nice.. out of those 3 I'd like the mouse the most I think.. I think it has a nice shape to it... Although their approach on apm is a little.. well.. Lights for apm seriously.. apm isn't even that important and the things they have for apm isn't really special.. http://www2.razerzone.com/sc2/
Well, at least it is nice to see they have something up now other than that stupid messenger bag. Still, I'm not at all impressed. I can't afford a new (or any) desktop right now, so the keyboard is pointless for me, and I think I'll stick with my Razer Orochi for my laptop (which I do love). I do need a set of headphones since my last ones got destroyed.....but I'm not sure if the ones Razer is offering are better than I could find elsewhere, especially at $120. APM lighting system on my headphones? So what, my opponents at a LAN will be distracted? "OOooooh sheeEEEt, look at his headphones go, he's really getting sRs on our arses now!" Just can't see it On a side note I saw the DotA world tournament ad on their site. I had no idea DotA had become THAT big. Almost makes me want to dig out my WCIII cds....
DotA is popular as hell Especially here in sweden... But not my type of game.. Regarding the prices.. yeah TOOO expensive! Too comercialized... or however you'd say it. Out of all the products the mouse looks best imo.. just look at its perfect shape
They all look so angular. Would the hard edges of the mouse not be uncomfortable in your hand? Imagine wrapping your hand around a matchbox for a couple of hours. Most mice are softly curved for reasons of comfort.
I have had a Razer Diamondback for 8 years now and I have loved the mouse the whole time, my friends also use razer products and are satisfied, so I feel like the product quality is going to be as good as ever, but I have never liked long-term products that are labeled for a specific game to be honest. Sure, I will be playing starcraft 2 for a long time.... but I dont want to announce it to the world, I still love Razer products though.
Now all they need to do is make 'em in Protoss and Zerg flavors, and I'm in. Although, a Zerg-themed mouse might be a tad...squishy.
Actually the "matchbox" shape is perfect for those who clawgrip. Using your palm is not an option in an RTS.
Haha I think its pretty cool. The APM thing is a gimmick but w/e, its a pretty cool idea. I couldn't really be F'd but I think there's plenty of nerds who'd be into it
I would totaly sport that messenger back for school. Not the zerg one though, Either the Terran or Protoss one. But the mouse looks horrid... ; / I have the Lachesis for about 2 years now and I love it.. I use the Turtle Beach Headset. (Only cause I used to work at GameCrazy and got like 40% off of it) But I have been thinking of getting a new headset and was thinking of picking up the Carcharias but the sc2 headset doesn't impress me...
Did you have to watch that horrible GameCrazy training video? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NUh9-NxzQPk
Haha Yup We had to watch some of them. Not those dubs though But yeah one of them was a parody of the show Jackass and it would show hollywood video employees doing extreme stunts.. to give you an idea of how lame it was the stunts involved a mop bucket, a mop, and a wet floor. but other than that it was a great job ( For a 18-20 year old) cause the comission was great
For all the haters! These products have clearly been designed for the game, have any of you even seen the beta version!? They wouldn't make them angular and matchbox looking for no reason!! Also APM all the way! Wooooooooooooooooooooo
For the Pro SC2 gamer (or in other words the Koreans) this gear might be really good. But for the average SC2 gamer who just wants to play the game and get in a few multiplayer matches this stuff looks rather angular and horribly expensive. Seriously most people who will play SC2 will not record their APM like a hawk. We know we're not even 0.1% as good as those addicted Koreans and never will be. So SC2 for us will just be easy fun. in saying that will there be enough people addicted to SC2 apm who wants these things? I dunno to be honest.
Ah i'm a pretty big Starcraft fan/follower, and this just seems like something that would be cool to go along with getting Starcraft 2. I mean it pretty much would create another way that you can prove to your friends that your better because your headphones are yellow, and his are stuck on hot pink mess. The price tag is a little too much, but what do you expect when its custom made for one of the most hyped games ever made (Atleast in my eyes).
Is that mouse modeled after a Terran building from alpha? Uoogly, very much so. APM led displays? Yes! Now I can know by constantly looking back at my mouse if I need to start clicking on random **** to raise APM. Remember kids, clicking endlessly on on your command center and issuing all orders 5 times wins games. Gold plated USB connector. Gold is a better conductor of electricity yes, but, it's a fool who thinks it will make the lag time from mouse to mobo to screen any less. USB 3.0 mouse, ok, I'd be curious. The keyboard is a standard keyboard with more xmas lights. Smaller foot print? That actually sounds awful, I hate tiny keyboards. No issues with the headphones aside from the apm crap yet again. They're otherwise good. Maybe like 60-80 USD worth of good. Check out creative instead if you want high priced head phones. This stuff is garbage. I'd be happier with a 3 button ergonomic mouse for one. Oh wait, I got one of those for 15 bucks with my new comp...that runs on ultra... So where do you guys think you should be spending your money?
I think it is more about the corrosion resistance than general conductiveness. But I also believe that is more of an issue with certain audio and/or video equipment and pretty much a non issue with USB peripherials, so it would still be a pointless price increase. The only mouse I would consider getting is maybe the Naga. I don't like most of the Nostromo style controllers out there, but I handled the Naga in an electronics store and it seemed like something I could actually use for the macro-programmable side buttons. Still, I'll probably stick with my current mouse now (using an Orochi from Razer, which works well since my only PC right now is a laptop). If I re-activate my WoW account....maybe then I'll get a new mouse. Or if I get a desktop (I liked their docking wireless mouse too....just not for a laptop which defeats the purpose of having a dock station).
