While on vacation in the summer, I bought the US version of SC2. I live in the MIddle East, and when I finally came back and got round to playing it, the latency was quite high and I requested Blizzard to switch me to the EU servers, which they did. Problem is, even now, there is very obvious latency. I would reckon it is somewhere in between 300-500 ms, and sometimes, slightly more even. This makes marine scoot-n-shoot micro impossible. My questions are: 1- Is this normal? 2- What kind of latency are you experiencing i.e. approximate response time for any unit to a given command. I've explored different avenues to improve the ping, but sadly to no avail. My ping to locations in the EU are generally in the range of 250-500. Any responses/help appreciated.
