Ok a quick overview for you all o fmy current situation. Today bought SC2, and have subsiquently bought another 2 copies just to trya nd get the damn thing installed. Blizzard are useless, i mean whoever heard of not having a call centre in this day and age for some quick tech support.. no you gotta wait for emails that never come. so anyway back on track, the first copy wouldnt get past 1% I recieved this message alert: The installer was unable to read the file "H:\Installer UI 1.MPQ". This error may be caused by problems with the media or drive at H:\--for example, a scratched or dirty CD-ROM/DVD-ROM, hard drive corruption, or a networking problem while downloading the installer. (The data being read was "InstallCD\Global\Unpack\Images\frame.png", and the error code was 5.) If this problem persists, please contact Blizzard Technical Support. (MPQFile::Read) the second copy slowed down dramatically at 51% and spent a hour reaching 56% before it gave upa nd crashed.. this time i recieved this message: The installer was unable to read the file "fileset.IX86\Versions\Shaders14513\baselineCache.bin". This error may be caused by problems with the media or drive at H:\--for example, a scratched or dirty CD-ROM/DVD-ROM, hard drive corruption, or a networking problem while downloading the installer. (The error code was 5.) If this problem persists, please contact Blizzard Technical Support. (ReadJob::Execute) Now i dont pretend to be very computer literate and that stuff just boggles me.. the disc is clean and my system specs should be fine the third copy made it to 51% again and no further, just packed itself in. This repeated the above message alert. Thats my first issue (the discs, 3 of them, not working) Now my second issue. Onc einstallation of the second disc commenced i activated the product key online. I hear a lot of people say that thye used thier product key to then download the digital copy... I cant do that. i trya nd download a copy and it just says something about i already have the maximum licences bound to my account... so ive bought the game and cannot access it. is there anything special i can try on either issue?? i've tried emailing blizzard and they have done nothing to help, i used thier support forum topics and none of them have helped whatsoever.. Sorry this has been longwinded but ive been trying all day and nothing has worked. at the end of my tether. Can anyone please please please help me? /lots of love
