Starcraft 2 Black Screen with Artifacts

Every time I play campaign or a skirmish the game starts to flicker with green artifacts and it locks up my computer and I have to force restart my computer. This usually happens 5 minutes after I'm in the game and I can't beat the mission Outbreak because of this. I have tried those two lines that you have to put in the variables txt.

My specs are
Windows 7 Ultimate
Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 @ 2.8 Ghz
4gb Ram
Nvidia 9600 GT

All my video drives are up to date

Please do post your dxdiag (always). The more info, the better.

You aren't the first one to report a similar issue to this, but we were still trying to figure it out. Post as much system info as you can between

That actually sounds suspiciously like overheating. Then again, it may be just some weird bug...

 

Another person was saying they were experiencing similar issues, but the temps were fine. 9600GT's don't exactly have the best cooling units though.. some are even passive.
