StarCraft 2 beta has appeared as a manageable game on Battle.net...

By the way, there's some beta client downloaders out that people are trying. If you encounter one, do not download it. It won't work for you. It might even do something with your chance of getting into beta as hinted by SCLegacy moderators.

 

It would almost certainly kill your beta chances. Smart move on Blizz's part, making the beta multi only. Pretty much kills the large segment of folks who would pirate the beta.

I've been obsessively checking my inbox every hour or so for the past few days waiting for this. We comp winners will get our turn; I sure as hell ain't complaining. We could get just a week of beta and I'd still be ecstatic!

Sooooo.. I looks like those who won the video competition are not included amongst the first Beta testers? :-(

 

I don't know but it seems that the BlizzCon attendees are far behind in priority over opt-ins. Strange.

Guys there is now a subforum specifically for the beta, so go nuts adding all related information, streams, etc... that you can find. I will be back later to add additional thoughts and comments.

 

Hi guys, does anyone know if winners were announced for that contest that was on April fools couple years back? Involving writing essays of why we deserve SC2 Beta keys?

I remember the essay thing was april fool joke, and then the ppl who put in an application would be raffled on this site for beta keys

Also, the installer has been released. I'm not sure if it's moral to post it here though. Google should get you what you want though.
