I was given one by a friend to try the game but can't seem get it to work any help would be greatly appreciated, i went tot he S\tarcraft2/guest site redirected to Battle.net entered my information and it took me to a page asked me to activate game key i entered the code i was given the button stayed gray, tried again it was then clickable clicked on it and got this error, The authentication key you entered cannot be claimed. Please try again. Alternatively, click here then browse to a game dashboard and click “Enter CD Key” to try this key for a different region, or try this process again for a different Battle.net account. so any idea what i am doing wrong?
Like I said in the private message, the key's have known to have H's that smear to look like A's... I would have just used the normal screen to authenticate the CD-key that comes up when installing StarCraft 2. First off, are you in EU or US region? We can track down the proper link.
US person has sent me 2 keys by email now and it still won't work i can't even get a download to come up
Have you created a battle.net account already? https://us.battle.net/account/ is where you would want to go to log in. *edit* Looks like battle.net log-in is down.
No, a wow account is different. A wow account can/must be merged into your new battle.net account (if you haven't done so already).
All you need to do is log in, then click "add a game" on the right. I even added in my StarCraft 1 just because its awesome I can download it if I loose the disc (and I've bought 5 copies.. I've lost many a disc. lol). If you have a game like SC1 or Diablo etc, try adding that to see if it works first.
Account is merged into Battle.net it shows my wow account ptr account i go went to the manage games add or update a game entered the code i was given by email and got the same error tried it with second code same error. The authentication key you entered cannot be claimed. Please try again. Weird. If you got it via email, I'd ask to see if you could get a scan instead. Its possible that the key they gave you is wrong.
