Star Craft 2 Collectors Edition Sold Out(At Gamestop)

I'm not 100% sure, but I just went to Gamestop.com and the Starcraft 2 Collectors Edition is unavailable . So does this mean it is sold out at Gamestop?

 

I have had the same problem and was wondering the same thing, so i searched for a store and it said there were non within 100 miles so idk

 

Im sure gamestop will restock at some point. If theres such big demand for it theres no reason why they shouldn't.

 

The can only restock if Blizzard says they will send more limited edition packs. Limited editions are called limited for a reason.

Good point. But still we all have no idea how many of these collectors editions Blizzards wants sell.

 

Not many. Or else it wouldn't be a collector's edition Most Blizzard CE go out of stock shortly after release. I bought both CE for Diablo II and StarCraft and they were sold out pretty quickly.

 

I'm sure you could get like near $1000 for both of those CE you own on ebay. I saw the original WoW CE go for around $950 recently on the Aussie ebay.

But, I have seen them go for as much as 500$ each but that was right at the beginning of the StarCraft 2 annoucement. It's probably gone down sine then. Still, that box is an important part of my childhood. I can never sell it.

I'll probably sell the SC2 one though as StarCraft 2, no matter how good, it will not be as integral to me as the original because of the time and place. So, hopefully, I can get some money on that.

I was very late on deciding to get Collector's Edition, and now it is sold out EVERYWHERE!
I live in Canada, and really hope that Blizzard ships more out.
The thing I really want are the in-game profile pics and decals because I am not really sure what they mean by that, and from experience with other games you look really pro with them.
If I end up getting regular, I hope the in-game collector's content is not so massive that I regret it.

 

Have you tried pre-ordering from Walmart or Sears?

Hey folks, I just pre-ordered from Gamestop US last weekend. I noticed just a few days prior they were sold out, so maybe this is a new batch.

 

Yeah.. that's what they mean by limited edition. Even I did not find one when I tried

 

i went to the gamestop by my work after work about a month ago and the guy said that they sold out the first batch of collector edition sc2 sets and blizzard sent a second set to the region which includes like 3-4 cities which probably total a population of 1.3 million or more in canada and the guy said there was only 3 copys left of the second wave of collectors edition to that region and i pre-ordered it right then and there and I will be picking my up after work tomorrow at 1:00pm.
