    AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4400+ 2.30 Ghz
    nVidia 8800 GT
    3GB RAM

I can play Starcraft 2 on all Medium (with a few on High...) and the performance seems okay, but occasionally sound effects or the music will seem to pause and just loop the last second really quickly, then continue as normal. Like a scratching record or something. It usually happens if I scroll quickly. WTF is up with this? Is my **** processor bottlenecking my GPU?

What make and model is your PC if its store bought? Otherwise, what is the make and model of the motherboard?

Also, post a dxdiag so I can learn more about your system and drivers. To run dxdiag=> Windows_logo_key+r, dxdiag. If you have 64-bit windows, click the button at the button that says "Run 64-bit DxDiag," Then save all the data by clicking "Save All Information..." zip/rar the text file and attach it to the post. Instructions on how to zip here. To create a rar file, first download and install winRAR then read this guide here.

Make the file a zip. I gotta talk to the admin about adding rar in the allowed file types. To make it a zip with winRAR, right click the the txt file, select "add to archive" and select zip as the file type.

Upload it to http://www.mediafire.com/ and post the link here. I'll talk to Joneagle_X and see why I can't see this moderated post/attachment.

Can you post the model of your Compaq-Presario? I am having issues finding more information then what I have below.

Run Windows update, install Internet Explorer 8. After that you should be able to install Service Pack 2 and DirectX 11 for Vista. Keep running Windows Update until all of these updates have been installed!

Newest Realtek audio driver here. It is three years newer.

Newest nVidia nForce 430 chipset drivers.

That is all I got for now. I want to check for a newer BIOS for you, but I need the model before I can do that.
