I was wondering what everyone thought of this game. I've never played it, and I'm only able to get the Wii version.

I've heard the Wii/PS2 version is inferior to the 360/PS3 version, so I'm not sure if it's worth the new game price. This begs the question: why make 2 versions of the same game, was it THAT hard to let the Wii version have the same levels?

I'm guessing its very hard for the Wii to handle the same stuff as the PS3, i haven't played either versions and don't know what they feature, but following trends...

I've only heard bad things about 3D sonic games, don't think the gameplay survives the transition with originality.

I loved SA1 and 2. Havent played Heros or Secret Rings and didnt like Shadow. From what I've seen from Unleashed, the game is good, but since it does have less stuff than the 360/PS3 version, I don't know if it's worth a similar price.

PS: I disagree with the review Yahtzee gave it. From what I've seen of both versions(youtube ftw), it isn't nearly as bad as he said it is.

I rented this game for 360.

The game started off with a pretty bad aosh Cinematic, but then it goes to this annoying little character. Through out the game you feel your watching a childrens show. So then I actually got to the gameplay. Camera is 10x better then 360 Sonic, and probrably the best camera Sega has ever used.
Normal Sonic levels keep you at a nice and fast speed with obstacles in the way of course, but you really do feel like Sonic when you play them.

And then you get to that retarded Werehog.
K this was was ruined the game in general. This fast original Sonic style turns into some random hack and slash game. If I wanted to play a hack and slash game I'd play Devil May cry or God of Way, but no Sega just had to put this useless S*** in the game. They're also extremely boring in which all you do is go through a simple obstacle then mash the primary button to kill the rest of the enemies. Not to mention this is 65% of the game.

The voice acting and Werehog were what really turned this game down. The whole thing about the world splitting up was great though.
If Sega had just gotten rid of Werehog and kept the same speedy Sonic then this game would've gotten and 8.5+ because really the speed Sonic was perfect.

Chip? idk, I don't think he's as annoying as Navi. From what I've seen, the cartoony stuff he does is actually funny at times. For example, the part when they're talking about the professor and Chip talks about how he'd starve to death and actually floats out of his body but a smile on my face. :)

Since the Wii version does have less than the 360/PS3 version, I was planning to wait til the summer to buy it, I just wanted to know what other people's opinion of it was.

    Most definitely.

    Food for thought.

Wii specs. The CPU is clocked at 729 Mhz, with the GPU 243 Mhz. The worse single core computers on the market aren't below 1.5Ghz. That's more than 2x the power. The Wii also only has about 88MB of internal memory. Essentially, it has 64MB of RAM. 512MB is the min in a computer.

Compare this to the fact that the PS3 has a 3.2 Ghz processor. My math could be off, but that's roughly 4.5 times as powerful. It also has 256 MB of RAM. The GPU is a 256MB clocked at CPU die speed.

All this said, the Wii has amazingly better games and aren't afraid to be the better system with worse specs.

As for the game, it's pretty much what Demo said. I'd say rent it.

    I don't rent games, I either buy or don't.

I know the Wii is much weaker, but they have many of the same levels anyways, so why cut only some out if it's that hard?

Also the fact that the PS3's discs are like 14 times the size might have something to do with it.

In that case, i'd say don't

So its really that bad? :/

I was so hoping this game would be good, but apparently they they said "f u" to Wii owners(ofc Sonic 06 was even worse). Hopefully Sonic and the Black Knight will be better for the Wii than Unleashed.

I'd love to play the 360/PS3 version, but I'm not buying a new game system for just 1 game

I saw that, but I've been looking at the 360 version of Unleashed and it looks fun, better than Shadow and the Sonic360 games.
