Something I would love clarified

Alright, so I know there are going to be 2 or 3 new expansions that together are 150 bucks plus tax. There is something I don't know though.

-I know that you need all the expansions for the full Campaign of all 3 races, but do you need to spend the 150 dollars for the FULL multiplayer experience? Like, if I only spend 60 bucks or whatever on the original game and not the two expansions will I still be getting the same (or similar) experience online?

 

Short answer: No, you will not need all of the expansions for multiplayer.

Starcraft: Wings of Liberty will probably be the only section of the entire game that will cost $50-$60 because it is a stand-alone game. The expansions however are just that - expansions. They're not meant to stand on their own, their meant to build off the original. At the very most I'd expect the expansions to cost $40.

No. The two expansions will act just like Brood War did to the original Startcraft. You will have to buy Wings of Liberty and the two expansions if you want the full online expierence.
