Some stuff I made for this site.

Hey there,

I saw all of the really cool userbars and stuff on the site and I want to contribute to these forums too, so I made some userbars for you guys. I hope you like them, I will add some more soon!
(including the same as below with some nice borders)

I've added some new stuff, now I have them with some nice edges, new ones and borders for avatars and other things are coming up soon!

sweet, ill think of a sig for now... im not really sure though. mayb like a portoss themed sig that says trooper-lozer, something like that.... good job again

 

The new ones with bevel/emboss look way better. :good:

 

Good stuff but I prefer the light/dark bits to be like in your userbar which includes the sides as well.

Trooper_lozer, I'd be glad to make you a sig, I've done requests before. Tell me what you have in mind and I can put something together.

That doesn't matter, he can choose the sig he wants, I don't mind.
(I don't ask minerals for it anyways, but if you want to give me something for it you are free to give me whatever you want (as longs as it isn't a powerdown )

 

I've added two more bars, one for the Zerg style and one for the Protoss style.
The Zerg bar has Kerrigan in it and the Protoss bar has a immortal in it.
They are a little light, but some people just like those better then dark ones. :thumbup:

The new ones look great. A bit too long though.

 

I will make shorter ones in a while, but the other things I announced will come first.

 

OK. I can't wait.

 

The text is huge, make it smaller and maybe add a tiny elegant decoration somewhere, even a triangle pointing to it would be fine. Also, why won't anyone do focals? The eyes of most of the pieces would work very well if you added a color dodge and smudge it outwards a little. Also, what size did you use for the bars? They seem kind of big (the new and old) Finally, you can move the renders a bit to the left, they don't have to be to the right edge, it gives you room for more art.

That are some good advises, but I like to keep it simple when I design userbars.
They must be eyecatching, but you have to see what the subject is very easily.
People don't look at them for to long, so you have to get them interested right away, and the best way to do that is by keeping cleer what you want them to do. When you add a lot of effects an/or renders, the bar becomes to complicated.

I will thinck about using that arrow thing next time, I've seen some very nice ones with arrows in them, and it works out for me most of the time to.
