Some advice for the new

Hi,
Im am new to sc2 or any game like sc2. I have been playing against people and the computer and have not been able to win a game.Im now how i would go threw a build or anything of the sorts.I have been seeings replays trying to copy them but no luck.I do enjoy playing protoss and was hoping to find out what i should start doing to improve my game play as for what areas i should focus on and try to get better.
