I noticed that when i build with a probe, the warp halo doesn't appear anymore. Its just a black ball that shows up without the backround warping animation. I also noticed that the animation for the crono boost from the nexus had changes too. It went from blue swirls to just invisible waves, kind of like when you look just above a flame. I haven't played much with the other races(besides beating campaign) to notice any other bugs but i sure did notice this one. The game continues to play fine enough but this just started happening all of the sudden, that all this did not happen for the first month. Everything WAS fine. I thought maybe i had lowered something in my graphics settings that had made some special effects look different. I put everything on ultra and it did the same thing. I also had noticed some map errors. Like SOME of the map floor textures get overlapped by a whole different floor color/scheme. Question is: How do stop this? I tried the SC2 game fix program...nope. I dont want to bore you with my comp specs but here goes Win xp home. 2.4 ghz dual core gts 450 viideo card 3.1 gbs ram More importantly, i had everything looking clean and running smooth and the quality seems to have degraded. I had also noticed the cinematics used to run smoother too. Yes im aware of the overheating issue, not only did i fix the reg but i bought a video card with 2 super fans just for the occasion. Yes i upgraded my video card drivers. Im new to the forum and i made sure to look for this issue and found that someone else had the issue but it was in sc2 editor. This is happening to me during any gameplay.
SOLVED I changed my resolution and it stopped glitching out. [Specifically resolution settings, every other graphic setting change did not work] I had forgotten to mention that i had previously increased my resolution settings, everything was running fine on the upgraded resolution for a while but it just eventually bugged out. The cinematics continue to be glitchy but whatever...i can watch it smoothly on youtube anyway. I would suggest trying out different resolution settings to try and fix the issue. Go with the lowest and work up from there to see if there are any graphics issues. Hope my journey helped someone out there..
