Lately, I've been spawning my units by Ctrl clicking larvae and spamming the hell out of the appointed hotkeys for whatever units I wanted to make, but is there and easier way to just press one hotkey and have all my larvae spawn into Drones? Sorry if it's such a noob question, but I'm getting tired of spamming the hell out of my keys, and I'm used to SC and SC:BW, where this was how you did it.
You could try increasing the repeat time in Windows and keep D pressed whenever you want to spawn, but that's still not instantaneous.
Alright. Thank you. I miss just Ctrl clicking a larvae, pressing d, and I spawn 20 Drones simultaneously.
That's how it was with SC and SC:BW. I miss that now. I'm going back to SC. Bye SC2. Haha. Kidding. Times-a-changin'.
Definitely. This transition I'm going through from SC/SC:BW to SC2 feels so difficult. SC was so much more fast pace. Units spawned faster, structures build faster, you really had to be on your toes all the time; Where-as SC2 feels so slow and drawn out. Don't get me wrong, I -love- SC2. I think it's a great game. It's just that I wish they kept the speed of SC with it. Plus, there's so much more new units and new structures in SC2, it really takes a good long while to get used to. I've been playing SC since 1996, so all the SC hotkeys are embedded into my head. So with this change, it's like I'm spamming the hell out of a wrong hotkey, until I realize, "wtf." In-fact, first time I played SC2 (I went straight to multiplayer, didn't even touch Single Player), I had thought my keyboard was broken. Just to learn after a few spamming of the wrong button, that the hotkey had changed for that particular unit. Haha. I'll get used to SC2, though. I'll prove that old saying wrong, "Can't teach an old dog new tricks."
@ Epiclepsy - If I remember correctly (it was before I had the game), you used to be able to hold down a hotkey and have all of the larvae morph. But for whatever reason, it was patched out.
Ah! Thanks for the information! Man, that's so weird that they would remove it, or exclude it! Gah. Blizzard infuriates me sometimes.
I understand why it would bother you but infuriate? There's literally a hundredth of a second delay between the units... does it really make a difference? Though on second thought I'm guessing it's the time you need to keep the button pressed and not being able to do anything else is what bothers you... k.
