So..what does everyone do outside of SC2?

Just curious, what do you guys all do when you're not playing Starcraft?

I work at UPS, been with my girlfriend for a year (Big boobs. ), and I'm on my way to boot camp in november for the navy.

I'm a high school student, gonna go to university next year. Don't really have any organized hobbies, although I have been wanting to find a DnD group.

Tried college, wasn't my thing. Too much learning things I'll never have to use. That and it was more like 13th grade than college. =/

I'm a sophomore in college, studying to draw comics. There's a lot more to it than one would think.

Hah, I've toyed around with the thought of drawing avi/sigs for senior members. Too bad I don't have much free time; that'd be a fun project.

No, I mean one of the things I'm writing is crap written to be in graphic novel format.

 

I do lots and lots and lots of things. I pretty much dabble in everything computers. Hell, I even have a blog about all the things I try. It's in my signature. I could make a list...

There are things to do when not playing SC? What is this outside you speak of? I hear the roof is much higher than my current habitat, is that true?

 

Apart from social life stuff which we all find boring I play TF2, just started scriming in that. Currently studying commerce majoring in finance and accounting so i can earn millions and buy many hats in TF2. Also started minecraft . Work casually at a pool store to.

...should really be studying for that test in half an hour...

 

It's that MMO from creators of Real Life. Kinda old news though. Also I heard it sucks

 

some of the classes are so imba. And even among the imba classes, it is randomly determined if you get super imba (illuminati class, president, beloved dictator). Horrible horrible gameplay, way too many rules to follow, experience takes ages to grind (srsly, only two people got quantum mechanics over skill 10) and the logging in/out is broken.

 

I don't find grinding as much of a problem as the stat-loss mechanic. Seriously, whoever got the idea that unused stats should weaken should be shot dead. With a Chuck-Shot. And Remote Backstab. At the same time.

 

Yeah..Real Life sucks. =/ Been waiting 20 years for a damn sequal with improved UI and game mechanics in general. Anyone know the cheat for infinite money? I keep saying stick em up but nothing ever happens. D:

I used to love drawing when I was younger, hardly do it anymore though. Was into the whole anime drawings and had a few really good ones. Did one in Ink one time about the story of Grendal and it got put all over the school's stuff. Like year books and sh*t. Was pretty epic. I do know there is a lot that goes into comic drawing, it's difficult and tedious as hell. One of my close friends wanted to be a comic book illistrator and was well on her way, made tons of epic *ss stuff. Even sold some things at my Highschools art show. Made like 100 some bucks for it. Also took Comic Class cus I needed a fine arts credit. ;D Ended up drawing a bunch of discuised *****'s and such but whatever. Same thing. >.> Did draw a LOT of Starcraft things though for the class, was fun. This one thing I draw was a beefed up marine bleeding out on the ground looking at a little broken flower that had been crushed in the previous battle with a nuke being set off in the no so distant background. He knew he was dead and just tryin to find inner peace. DDDD Anyway...

I do like to write as well, when I lived with my Stepmom up in Maine I wasn't allowd to have/use the TV, computer, stereo or anything electronic beyond a microwave and alarm clock. xD So what I did instead of get to play the video games was write fanfictions for them along with a few random things like the story of my first role playing character Sythe Shohiko. When I wrote the fan fics I would usually enter myself into the world as a random character, never ended up finishing any of them though.

Dark Cloud 2 - Entered myself, weapons were two spiked bracers. My character took on a sort of amnesia but with faint rememberences of what was going to happen within the game since technically I beat it. Prolly wrote out 45 pages front and back by hand on that one.

Final Fantasy VII - Same as above, but was more of a perv. Wrecked Tifa in her bar. Put more of serious adult tone to it as well, the things that would actually happen. 60 pages front and back hand written.

Starcraft - Private First Class Debelak. ;D This one I put some serious effort into. Was pretty much some sort of fake boot camp graduation thing, like the crucible. When really the reader finds out it's just a military test which they claim is an accident after pretty much stranding them there. The Marines are sent and lead by Debelak (Aka me) and two others (Old SC partners) to carry out the tasks required to pass. As they continue on with the mission they start finding strange things and then finally they come across a few groups of 'enemy' marines torn assunder and ripped to shreds. Things go down hill from there and all hell breaks loose, When Debelak radio's in they talk to command for a bit but then some commotion can be heard and the line goes dead and they ar eon their own. Lucky for them, the meteor in which the test is happening does not have any gas deposits. The zerg came to the meteor at first to build a small base to havest the rich mineral cluster all over and within the rock. So the squad has to deal with a large base of purly mineral based structures. Sunkens, lings, etc etc. Was pretty fun to write, didn't know where to go after it was done though. Prolly put about 120 or so pages together front to back.

Sythe Shohiko - I've re-written the damn beggining of the story like 4 times over the course of 6 years. It's sad. Was pretty much the pro-log of his story. Used to roleplay a LOT back when I was in middle school and htis guy was my first character, made him a brother a year later and never wanted another one. xD I'm a nerd. ;D

 

I don't see how it could suck, Gamespot gave Real Life a 9.6! Damn impressive if you ask me. I've been playing it almost non-stop lately!

As for what I do, I spent most of Jan-March concepting a Kamen Rider series, and writing a 47-page exploratory on it. Hell, Kaaraa, if you want to try creating something "new," I could use some basic artwork for my Riders! I really should get around to publishing that exploratory... It's given me a direction and once I get a car working again, I will be spending more time at my local library researching it.

I really need to start working again.. if even part-time. I just can't keep myself motivated to do much of anything right now (including tech-support) because I'm so down in the dumps over not having any money to do anything.
