This is my attempt to understand the storyline following SC2. 1. The level 'In Utter Darkness' is a prophetic vision of the future. 2. The Protoss are almost wiped out, with only a few tribes still alive after the massive fight during In Utter Darkness. 3. The Zerg...almost wiped out or wiped out? 4. Terrans still alive. Right? I wanted to make an FF that takes place shortly after SC2, but if the Protoss and Zerg are pretty much extinct I'll change the timeline to the Fall of Aiur or something.
No, everyone is dead. Terrans are crushed (yay), the last of the protoss has been obliterated in the battle, and the zerg, under power by the void dudes, and subsequently destroyed by them. ..which is impossible otherwise there would be no more sc3 and stuff, and blizzard wouldn't like that.
In utter darkness is a vision of what would happen if kerrigan died... She's alive and kicking though(and prolly doing the humpy bunny stuff with raynor in some private chambers of the hyperion) so no, all races are still alive and threatened by the hybrid...
