Small Thor

The Thor is tiny now, I mean Ultralisks are even bigger than them. Thors need to be twice the size like before. Cuz I know I wouldn't use them at the current stage.

and those cannons at the back are pointing out already....hmmm....i really wanna know what the new thor has as of now.

 

Still got disgustingly owned by a few Banelings. So much for immobilization when 'dead'.

 

Blizzard said a while ago that they had been scaling the Thor back a little. That probably means it's cheaper too. Anyway, I think just about anything will die when it gets hit by 8+ Banelings.

 

Lol, I guess so but still. It just seems out of place at its current size. Not very imposing like it used to be.

Does it still build from an SCV?

OMfg I hate all this super unit terms. How could the Thor of all things be a super unit since its attack was only 24 with a slow cool down?

A super unit would be something like a cheaper fully teched Zealot which can attack air and ground, it also has Psi Storm and Dark Templar cloaking.
Thats a super unit.

 

If a Thor's a super unit, cracklings are god units.

 

Maybe it's just me, but I don't notice much difference (or if at all) at the Thors size.

However, I do want to know what Blizzard is intending to do with the Thors. Thors got to be one of the most kickass looking unit in the World of Starcraft 2 and I hope Blizzard does something cool about it instead of scrapping the unit.

 

The model's nothing short of awesome, but I'm worried about its function. It seems rather weak and mediocre right now for its tech requirements.

 

i hope they don't end up as a meatshiel , only excelling in rarer situations (like the goliaths).

siege tanks make thors look bad... but i like siege tanks so its fine

 

Thor should be removed from the game. It's just useless.

 

It hasn't got a designated role yet, so it's basically just an empty model. There's no need to cut it at the moment.
I wouldn't want it removed because the unit that replaces it would have too much to live up to. Even if the replacement was a perfectly good unit that had nothing to do with the Thor, people would always compare them. Obviously the comparisons would be extremely unrealistic, but they'd still complain.
However, if cutting it will mean that Banshees get their area of effect attack back, then I want it cut and all traces that it ever existed to be completely destroyed. It'd be easier to just cut the Jackal and give back the Banshee's area of effect though.

Yeah, kind of. Imagining it run fast is just weird, I hope they change the design a bit.

Well think about it. the Thor isn't needed as a big assult unit with the Crucio Tank and Vikings.
