When Diablo3's released, which are you going to do first? Going to solo it first, completing everything in the game on your own in single player? Or are you going to start working on your multiplayer character as soon as possible, and check out the new features on Battle.Net?

Just like with Starcraft 2, I am going to complete the singleplayer campaign on one of the easiest difficulties before going bnet. I consider it a good warmup.

    Agreed,
though I think I would enjoy more Diablo 3 in LAN games than online.

I will just play solo few acts in order to get the gameplay, the characters and the enemies, and once I think I will have some survival basic skills, I think I will then start playing online.

Single player for me. I prefer it to battle.net on the whole. I just hope the players X setting returns here. But later on I'll have a go at an online character just to see what's new about b.net.

Definitely single player. I prefer going through the whole story first by myself to get the full experience. Sometimes playing with other people can ruin that.

Sorry for the bump but it's officially been said that diablo3 won't be playable over LAN, and it's presumed that that applied to TCP/IP and everything else. Battle.Net 2.0 will be the only way to play multiplayer.

I might do Diablo 3 with Banned. Like, no skipping ahead one of another on B.Net, or on our own.

Unless his own computer can't handle it, then I'll do it solo first then head onto B.Net.

I tried doing that twice, with two separate mates. With the first one, he ended up just doing runs and on top of that I went on holidays for about a week, and with the second one we were both Sorcs, me Lightning, him Fire, got through to near the end of Nightmare, him bragging about how much more powerful he was, blah, blah, blah, then as soon as the monsters started becoming Immune to Fire he just stopped. Jerk.

Well I'm going to be captain Whirlwind and step on babies.

    Dunno what Banned will be.

But yeah, most tries to do that... eh.

Whirlwind sure is iconic, but I don't find it that great a skill, per se. I'm looking forwards to Seismic Slam, Furious Charge, like in the gameplay demo, and if possible, Leap as well. The problem is I think they're all in different trees. Fortunately the basic skills I'm after, like Cleave, etc, are all also in the Seismic Slam tree.

    Juggernaut Barb FTW.

I'm actually so jazzed up for the new (old, lorewise :3) Barbarian. Just the new ways to bring on the pain looks amazing.

I'm kind of concerned at his combat abilities being spread out, but it may be because he's getting so many active ones now. So I shouldn't complain or get a bit huffy over it.

Yeah, but a lot of his active abilities are just active buffs, which I don't like. It's mainly in the Berserker tree, which is why I'm not so fond of that one. And remember that he did have a lot of passive abilities in Daiblo2. The Combat Masteries tree was dedicated to it.

Oh, forgot to mention that Ground Stomp, or whatever, and Revenge are in the 'Naut tree, which is awesome.

And just a couple of off-topic questions... Do you know how many skill points they'll get? If it's ninety nine plus rewards like in Diablo2 then people'll pretty much be able to max out all trees. Also, what's the implosion-type ability the Wizard's always using in her gameplay videos? It looks absolutely awesome but I can't find a trace of it in her skill trees.

You'll learn a lot of things just by playing the campaign.
But since I'll be dying to try out the other races, I'll probably start playing online.

    This is Diablo3, not StarCraft2.
