signature help

if anyone has the time, could they write me a guide on how to put my sig image in my signature, i already have it done i just have to know how to put it in there

 

Welcome to the forum! No problem d00d, I'll help you out.

So what you do is first upload whatever image u'r working with to a image hosting place like image shack. I believe their limitation is 1.5mb but I'm not sure about the dimension limitation. The dimension limitation for this SITE however, is, I think something like 400 x 100 pixels, although I could be wrong and it could slightly bigger. Anything larger than this will just be cut off when ppl view it.

Now, after you have uploaded the image, or .gif if it's an animation, you then go to your "profile" and go to "Forum Profile Information" on the left side bar. Here, you will see a bunch of things u can switch 'n what not.

Go to the signature box, and type in this code:

[image width=width length in pixels height=height length in pixels]url address of your uploaded image[/img]

So the example for mine would be:

[image width=350 height=100]http://tinyurl.com/1x7yj9[/img]


All you have to put is that line in there between the image brackets and save u'r profile settings.

It should be up and running properly after that! Good luck!

I don't feel like creating a new thread for my stupidity and the topic pretty much covers my problem.
I don't know much about web stuff but I do have a basic understanding of how codes work in forums and that's why I don't understand how this code:

gives the result that can be seen in my current sig. I'd want the FPtP banner in the same line as my items on sale but for some reason I can't get that to work. I've tried placing the codes for right allign in different places but that only messed up the whole thing even worse.

Could someone help me out with this?

But that doesn't allign the FPtP banner to the right and it won't do it no matter where I put the right allign tags -.-

edit: never mind, it seems if there's text before the [ right] tag then it puts the right alligned stuff in a new line. why, oh WHY?!
