Sights of a Release Date

Hello All,

I was just browsing through Future Shops site, and saw Starcraft II ad saying available May 31, 2009. here the link:

It's a company trying to get you to preorder, they don't know when it will be released.

 

Futureshop even said they don't have a release date...Guess "available" doesn't legally mean anything =S.

Also the site doesn't even mention the name of the starcraft 2 game. Wings of ******* Liberty. Which will be alot cheaper than 60 USD

 

If only it would be out in May

 

Methinks we need a sticky to the effect of don't post release date speculation based on what it says on the preorder page. Until Blizzard says they are releasing SC2, discussing thee release date is frivolous.

 

Oh sorry about that, I never knew there were other release date speculations. And will the Wings of Liberty really be under 60 dollars?

 

Firstly, it's still saying 'StarCraft2' and as we know, it'll be labelled as 'Wings of Liberty'.

Secondly, what with the racial division of each campaign, it's more than likely that the first release will have a Terran theme of some sort, and not just be the classic 'StarCraft2' logo.

Thirdly, the screenshots they show are massively outdated. One of the first changes I can recall was the Siege Tank's model change, and it's still got the original Siege Tank model.

StarCraft2 available for pre-order purchase? Ya, right...

Oh, by the way, I love the subscript they've got there... "Price and release date have not been finalised and might change without notice." Or, in other words, "You've just signed a blank check made out to us."

 

i think its about 60 USD in price

I remembered that when Starcraft 2 was shown in Korea EB games said it would come out in August, then September, than one year later etc. etc.

I always get a faint hope when I come into a topic like this... only to be SORELY disappointed. How many topics like these must be made?

 

Yeah, you're not the only one. This thread is prompting me to do just that.
