Shown Pets Limit

sup guys

I'm just gonna make a decent request to increase the number of pets shown coz:

1. No point in buying lots of pets if you cant brag about it/impress someone by showing them all.......

2. Come on, theres a decent space in between the collectibles and the pets, the collectibles should still stay as 5 cap, but the
pets should have an increase. The space is so big (see attached picture)

just can resist staying away, but i think 9 would be nice but, it will fill up the whole row, and no room for items then... well i wonder if we can make a second row for items instead lulz

I'd say 9. I have more pets then I can show, and I paid for all of them... I think there should be more.

 

I reckon it'd fine as it is, but people should be able to choose which are displayed and in what order. I guess a few more couldn't hurt, but the focus of a person's post shouldn't be the number of pets they have, it should be on what they've said. It also shouldn't be the focus of their profile either, it should be the posts and power level.

 

That too. I'd like an option to choose what pets to be displayed. For example I just bought an infested marine but it won't show up because it's cheaper than the others.

It's 6 or 7 max
There isn't as much space when you have sidebar on so you could only fit 6pets/6collects or 7pets/5collects. Unless admin could implement something to show more when sidebar is hidden, but that may not be easy

I voted as many as can be managed. I never considered pets as items to boast with but I'm begining to turn. But I'm sure both this and the order are on the admin's to-do list already. He became pretty active recently so I would expect to see these features soon.

 

Haha, I find it funny that you're complaining about someone voting for you to shut up, but you were the one who put that option there to begin with.
I seriously think that nine is too much and there wouldn't be space for nine pets and five collectables. It should be about seven tops, but there's no real need to change it. I think the bigger concern should be choosing which pets to display and in what order. Just listing them from most expensive to least expensive isn't the best way to do it.
Just quickly, for the people who are complaining that some of the pets that they've paid a lot for can't be shown, why did you buy them in the first place? I can understand if you bought a sixth and realised it couldn't be shown, but any more than that and it's your own fault really.

 

the point of collecting pets is to collect (duh, lol)
if we all didn't have that mentality, we could've just saved all of our minerals and try to buy all of the MSs
e.g. if i wasn't collecting all toss pets, then i would've just gave away all of my money on some stupid questions competition
(which i have, but i stopped)

 

Evidently the point of pets is not to collect them, it's to display them. If the idea was actually to collect them, then there would be a much higher limit, but there's not.
Just because there's a limited number of places and not a potential limit to the minerals you can have, that doesn't mean that everyone would save up for the most expensive pets. It's still just a matter of preference.

 

Would it not be a good idea to have a Display Window for your pets as well as a Cupboard for them in order to manage them to show as you want? 8)

the logic is like showing your bug collection
why do you need to show ALL of your bug collection?
to let the people see ALL of your bug collection, not just the awesome 3 feet tarantula that you have,
but also to show the other fascinating bugs you have, although the 3feet tarantula would be a crowd pleaser,
some people like to see other kinds as well

 

It's not a collection though. Bug collections are collection because there isn't a limit to the number you can have, so you can collect as many as you want. Display pets aren't a collection because there is a limit to the number of pets you can have. Anything that has a number restriction can't be a collection, because there is a limit.
For example, I have a dragon collection. If I was only allowed to have five dragons, it wouldn't be a collection, it would just be my five favourite dragons. It's the same with the display pets.
I can understand what you're saying, but I think you're arguing the wrong point. Instead of saying that display pets are a collection so everyone should be able to display all of them, you should be saying that display pets should be a collection so that you'd be able to display all of them.
