    Should we preorder Cataclysm now?

A lot os stores online and in the real world have it up for pre order. Should we preorder it yet? Or wait a little?

I don't know what the current status of the game is, but I'd say wait till it's anywhere near done.

Somehow Blizz games rarely sell out the first week.

Probably because everyone knows how much they will sell. So i am not gonna pre-order it.
But i'd at least wait until the last patch of WotLK is out.

Why? When its released you can go into your account management buy it there and download it.... Save your gas money for something more important.

In any case simply buying it from blizzard them self is a lot simpler and you wont have to worry about them running out of copies.. Plus you wouldn't have to pay tax, and if you ever need to install it on another PC rather then saving the cd you can just go onto your battle.net account dl it and play.

Why are people so scared to preorder games? I don't understand it. Do you guys live where they charge you tons of extra money to preorder? I live in CA and all stores. Gamcecrazy, Gamestop, Bestbuy, even Target/Wallmart charge you 5 dollars to preorder and that money GOES TOWARDS the purchase, so you are only paying 5 dollars early, and they always give you some little bonus gifts and stuff..

For some games yeah preorders are okay, but for blizzard games your just flat out wasting money. If you can just download it for regular price from their servers.. Why the hell do you need to even go to the store in the first place? Also, I've never seen a game sell out on the first day. I don't see the need to waste 5 dollars I could spend towards a movie or something.. Spending 5 dollars on every game I'm currently waiting to released is enough money to buy me dinner for a week.

Well here in Australia if you wanted a limited edition Blizz game either you preorder 6 months in advance if not you miss out. But for the normal editions I dunno up to the individual person maybe?

I've had bad experiences ordering physical products online, and since it was a different bad experience each time, it seems I can't even learn from my mistakes.

At the very least, if I were to preorder a game, I would physically go to the store, hand over $5 (or whatever) in actual cash, and sign some form that I put my phone number on so they can call me when it comes in. And you might save time just by going to the same store on the release date.

Furthermore, there's a bunch of people (probably not many, but enough) who preordered StarCraft: Ghost. Whoops! Preordering a product before it enters beta is a bad idea. Cataclysm was announced four months ago. You should wait.
