I just bought starcraft at EB used... and it didn't come with the case, so I don't have a serial #... I know the online feature of the game is no longer available... I just want to play it OFFLINE..... BUT, I can't get pass the serial # screen to even get to the game.... am I up the creek without a paddle? I saw on some thread where someone said something about buying a key from amzon... but i got no interest in any of that nonsense... does anyone have any suggestions?
i suggest next time you buy a game second hand you make sure it has all it's components and accessories etc.. EB is a respectable store though. you might want to try going back and asking for a version with the serial and key cd. bt i think there is a cdkey store it's really cheap and can be trusted in the meantime, i'll email a contact at them and ask how this problem might be solved. check back in this thread in a few days
I got a couple.... Thousand keys, Ill send you over a few when i get home. Some may be muted/banned, So be sure you have a CD Key CHanger handy if you wanna get onto Battle.net.
You really should pay attention to these things when buying games that require a key to install/play *pretty much every game any more...*. There are keygens out there you can download, or hell, google will even get you a key if you search right. You will NOT be able to play online, though *unless you get super lucky and find a key that isn't already blocked by bnet or someone else found and uses.*
Yeah, personally, scrounge up a little money and buy it from the blizzard store. No CD's required, and it stores the cdkey online to your account!
No...... Don't buy from that site. Don't trust anyone on this forum with fewer than 200 posts for information involving money.
Agreed. That's just worrysome...SELLING CDkeys? How are they getting the keys, from a keygen that doesn't work for online play?
