Seems like a tricky situation. Maybe it's not.

I'm an American, although I live in Korea. I have a few questions.

Firstly, is Starcraft 2 going to be available in different languages? Obviously, living in Korea would enable me to play a Korean version. Now, will the game offer different languages, able to be switched in the game? Or, will I be forced to play the game in 한글? My Korean is improving, but not nearly good enough to keep up in a face paced game.

And along with that question, will the actual DIALOG be in Korean as well? Cinematics, in-game, etc...

Secondly, creating a Battle.net account. Is it as simple as making a quick account as in Starcraft? And if it requires more than that, how exactly would I go about doing that? I already attempted it online, and it seems to be unable to allow me to register, in Korea, without assuming I am Korean (SSN requirement, etc..)

Any help would be great! I have attempted some research on this but I didn't get the clear answers I wanted. Hoping somebody here can help out!

I assume you can just download the english version from the american battle.net through online sale.

Ah, another point to make. I will be playing the game exclusively at PC bangs (popular Internet cafes which provide computers). Thus, I'm not purchasing the game at all. So I'm at the mercy of the computer I'm on and the installed version - 99.9% likely to be a Korean version.

Purchasing it and having my own version to download is possible, yet quite superfluous if you consider my situation.

I imagine the different language versions are for speech sounds, which can take up a lot of space on a game disc. It may not be practical to have a full set of unit speech in 20 different languages on one disc.

I don't know if an English language option would be added to the game options, for changing the language of written words, but I can't imagine it would be if the sounds are all still in Korean.

You can use the other languages without buying another copy. Blizzard usually is pretty good about translating everything.

You can't activate your SC2 account until you have the game. The copy you buy is region specific, if you want to play in the North American region you have to buy the NA copy. If you want to play in the Korean region, buy that copy. There is a special SEAisan server, which can play in the NA region, which includes Vietnam, Hong Kong, Macau, Malayisa, Singapore, Australia, and some other SEAisa country and regions.

So in total there are 3 servers in Asia: Korean server, Taiwan server and SEAsian server.
