Hi, When I have logged into SCII, and are in the screen; picking game mode, sometimes the screen lockes for about 5-10 sec. During these sesconds the sound is ok, but the sreen is loocked. Afterwirds I get controll again. Then it happens again after some sec. When playing the game there is no problem. I have uninstalled the video(?) driver and then reinstalled it. But still the problem is still there. Some ideas?
Moved this thread to Tech Support where it belongs. Don't know anything about your computer at all. Please post its make and model so I can get a better idea, and also post a dxdiag. To run dxdiag=> Windows_logo_key+r, dxdiag. If you have 64-bit windows, click the button at the button that says "Run 64-bit DxDiag," Then save all the data by clicking "Save All Information..." zip/rar the text file and attach it to the post. Instructions on how to zip here. To create a rar file, first download and install winRAR then read this guide here.

When the screen lockes, in SCII, and comes back, I get a massage (in a 'text' boble) that my video card has diconnected and in same massage restored. No error that I can follow. I have attached a description of my computer parts and the dxdiag file.
Your motherboard is the Asus P5Q-Pro. The website for your motherboard can be found here. Before proceeding to the manufacturers download page, run the Intel Driver Update Utility. While your Intel chipset drivers are installed, they may be outdated and this tool will help you find updates easily. Also before going to the manufacturers site, download and install the newest Realteak Audio driver. Make sure these updates are downloaded and installed before proceeding. Go to the downloads section, select "Vista 32-bit" as the OS (I can only assume you have 32-bit since you did not send me a 64-bit DXDiag), and download the following: Utility section, "ASUS Update V7.16.01." Download/install this, then run it. It should tell you if you have any missing drivers and updates. You really should update the BIOS (it appears to be really old), and several issues have been addressed since the boards release. Download and install any driver updates this suggest, except for the Realtek Audio (there is a a much newer driver). Only install the following if they did not show up in the update utility: SATA section, "Marvell 6121 SATA Driver V1.2.0.68." This is your hard drive controller driver, which does not currently appear to be installed. I believe this driver not being installed may be the cause of your in game hitching! If installing these driver updates doesn't help your issue, try some more basic things: If you are not running a virus scanner, download and install Microsoft Security Essentials. Its a fast and FREE virus scanner that is very good. Run a scan and see if it finds anything. Uninstall and delete as much stuff as you can, then run a awesome defrager like PerfectDisk Pro. First go to the "Space Management" tab and click "start." This will delete all of your temp files easily, freeing up more space! Then go to the Defragmentation tab and run a "offline" defrag on all of your drives. Do this until the analysis shows the fragments of your page file to be only 1 or 2 fragements. Then run the SMARTPlacement" defrag at least twice on your main C: drive, then run it again (do not run these at the SAME time! You only have one physical hard drive!) on your D: drive. Now, your Radeon HD 4870 only had 512MB of RAM according to your system spec list. Make sure you are only playing StarCraft II at High settings and maybe even try playing in medium for heavy battles. You might want to make sure the game is playing in 720p instead (your on a monitor, not a TV, so you may not need to go as low as 720p to get better performance) of 1080p. I don't think that card has the power to play StarCraft II in 1080p depending on the other in game settings. Try some of that stuff out, let know if you have any luck!
