Maybe the scourge have evolved into something remarkable and morphed with something to create a ultimate AA.

    This is JUST a theory!

If the Scourge have evolved, expect their evolution to be completely different from the original, not simply a more powerful version. Just look at the zergling ---> baneling transformation: They go from swarming lizard/bug/dog/whatevers that rip things apart with their claws to exploding suicide tumbleweeds. If Scourge do gain the ability to morph into a new unit type, I bet Blizzard will create something original and completely unexexpected.

If you mean that Scourge are no longer availabe, and have been replaced by this "ultimate AA"... Unlikely. You'll never get some all-powerful anti-air unit. In Brood War, the three AA units (Corsair, Devourer, and Valkyrie) were each unique. None of them was what I'd call "ultimate," but instead were deadly when used with the proper support (Example: Using Mutalisks' Glave Wurm attack with the Devourer's Acid Spores). So there won't be an air unit that can blow up everything on the map in five seconds. Even the Mothership looks like it requires support to be useful... It could probably be destroyed fairly easily if not protected well.

i dont think they will be back, i think the zerg will get a unique and different anti air unit thats going to be new ( not seen in either starcraft or warcraft)
maybe like a carrier, a big hive overlord that fires little scourges at things or something.
or a sorta flying squid that has a melee attack, and strangles its pray to death in mid air, that would be cool

    Zergling:
one larva used to create two
    fast
    melee attack
    ground unit
    has wings
one of the most feared ground units

    ...Morphs into a Baneling:
    slow
    suicide attack
    ground unit
    no wings
only scary if you can't outrun them

    Scourge:
one larva used to create two
    fast
    suicide attack
    air unit
    has wings
only scary if you can't outrun them

So, logically, whatever a Scourge morphs into:
    slow
    melee attack
    air unit
    no wings
one of the most feared air units

Scourge fits the kamikaze too well. For an super air unit for the zerg, it makes more sense to morph a guardian and a devourer into one.

Interesting. I had actually thought of this also. Since the Zerglings morph into Banelings "Ground scourge", then maybe the scourge will be able change into an anti air melee units. Think of a crack upgraded scourge in melee mode attacking capital ships? That would make for some awesome air swarms.!!

Most Zerg air units don't have wings. The guardian, devourer, overlord don't have wings. Even the scourge kind of don't have wings. Only the mutalisks have distinctive wings.

Heheeh Thanks for all the feedback. I think they should create an entrirrely new unit, with wings that has melee attack or suicidal attack.

Anyhow, it should still be weak in hp and defence but strong in attack.

XD Can't wait till i get to see terrans new units and zerg.

i dont think the scourge will evolve becuase they are the best at what they do lol (EXPLODE)
why would they go from exploding, to attacking.
i think that we will see some mellee air unit for the zerg, mayb the mutalisk will have a third upgrade possibility....
what would be realy cool is if you could keep upgrading from devourer or gourdian
we could see the gourdian evolve into an even bigger, stronger and slower creature rofl.
OR, overlords will be able to melee attack air units with their tendril thingies, kindr like an octopus.
like each tendril is filled with acid/venom that slowly eats the ship!

Have you even played StarCraft? Of the six flying Zerg units, how many actually have wings?

Most of them have wings, they are either very tiny (I am pretty sure the Guardian for example has very small wings/vents on its side that levitates it0, the scourge have wings, they just don't flap them, but the overlord has more of a "balloon" way of levitating. The Queen looks like a wind bag, but she does sorta seizure and pulse alot, so she must have a special way of flying...the devourers do have tiny wings on their sides, but it does looks like they are just sorta gliding around. The mutas are the only units with "obvious" wings.

Also back to the original topic, I think a different alternate mode that would be like melee for scourge morphs, would be for them to be parasites, once they get close enough to the enemy air unit, they latch on draining hp, which makes them auto-regen their own HP. During parasite mode, they can remorph into explosion mode, essentially finishing off any, and everything they are attached too. This would be helped by AI in the scourge, allowing only a certain amount to attach to a certain type of airunit, based on its armor/hp.

And thats how movies such as spiderman got born...

Some Dude - "What happened if a guy got bit by a poisinous spider?"
Another Dude - "Idk, lets make a movie about it."

    XD

Another one on how superhero movies were born:

Crazy Dude - "I'll jump in this nuclear stuff I SWEAR!"
Random Guy - "I wonder if he turned into a superhuman?"
Some other Random guy - "Wow, that would be cool, lets make a movie on it"
