SC2 Release date leaked?

Don't know If you guys saw this, but just in case I'll post it here:

I does not sound too farfetched to assume It would be launched around then I think. Anyway, It's not official.. so I guess we'll still have to way at least a month to see if this is true or not.

 

Not possible. A beta takes months, so even if the game went beta tomorrow, and there was nothing but balancing left (which obviously isn't the case) it wouldn't be released until Q2 2009.

 

Gaaah!! I want this game more than anything so I'll probably hate myself in the morning for this but...

I hope it doesn't come that early ... There's too much to be done. It hasn't even gone through beta and that's a very, very, very important part of any Blizzard game.

 

maybe they DID start beta..only secretly...and in korea..

they could have started it in korea.
Maybe they have a secret team in korea thats making the desing's
for the units and both the korean crew and the crew here are sharing idea's.

maybe thats why they've set the Date so soon?

 

I've actually thought about that But, sadly and fortunately, that wouldn't be much of a beta. Plus, do you really think a dedicated Korean StarCraft fan could keep quiet about this? Especially when there's likely to be thousands of them.

 

You could also have gone to the website for Bestbuy or Circuitcity for many months and it gave you the release date for some day in December of this year, which is obviously not true. Point being just cause someone says its coming out then doesn't mean it will. Now bestbuy is listing its release as February 28, though I would doubt it is anymore likely to be then the last date they set.

 

Best Buy and Circuit City gave those fake release dates to improve pre-orders. This is probably just a simple mistake. Hopefully, whomever or whatever group published this will correct their mistake before the internet is flooded with horrible misinformation.

 

I know they put the dates up to boost pre-orders, but that doesn't change that they did it. Whoever released the date now could have an equally biased reason for doing it, or it could be as simple mistake, or anything in between. My point was simply that it isn't the first time a date has come out, but until something official comes out we are better off not getting our hopes up.

 

That's my point too. I wasn't trying to devalue your point, in fact, I trying to bolster it.
