I know there have been posts about this in the past, but I am totally stumped with my case.

So I bought sc2 when it came out. My computer originally had an integrated gfx card, so it would only run on low and was a bit choppy. So I went out and bought an nvidia gefroce 9800 GT 1gb, put it in and was able to play the game perfectly on ultra. Now, a few weeks ago I started playing a game, and the mouse movement was choppy as hell. Like when I would move the screen up and down, it was delayed and very choppy. I ended up having to turn my graphics settings for the game all the way back down to low, and even then when there are a lot of units in the game it still seems to be a bit choppy. I tried everything I could think of. Updated GFX drivers, reinstalled GFX drivers. I even scanned my computer with multiple AV's and spyware protection programs to make sure it wasn't infected, but nothing has worked. My specs are below :

    CPU : Intel core 2 Quad 2.5ghz
    Ram : 8gb
GFX card : nvidia geforce 9800 GT 1gb

As you can see, there is no reason why I shouldnt be able to run the game on ultra. I would appreciate any help to why I am having these issues, its really putting a halt to my sc2 playing.

Sorry for the long wait for a response, I've been addressing some personal issues at home.

Post a DXdiag of your machine so we can look at drivers... but also check the FAQ sticked to this thread on the nVidia overheating issue. Last person that had a similar issue to this checked his temps, and ended up reapplying thermal paste to his CPU.

To run dxdiag=> Windows_logo_key+r, dxdiag. If you have 64-bit windows, click the button at the button that says "Run 64-bit DxDiag," Then save all the data by clicking "Save All Information..." zip/rar the text file and attach it to the post. Instructions on how to zip here. To create a rar file, first download and install winRAR then read this guide here.
