For those of you who's seen my SC2 map drafts, I've moved them to Flickr:

I've been a bit behind on the drawing though, but for obvious reasons it's not something I invest terrible terrible amount of time with atm. I might draw some more sketches closer to the release date. When I get a computer strong enough to run SC2 though, I'll be creating the maps themselves and not so much the drawings. We'll see!

Why don't you make, and test them for balance, with the SC1 editor?

Looks good! There's definately a lot of thought going into these maps.

For me, I think I'll probably end up remaking my warcraft maps. It depends how well the mouse-look / shooter mechanics work though. I might try and make something fresh with all the goodies they're packing into the editor.

My maps contain a lot of features that doesn't exist in SC1, plus the balance of SC2 maps is very different from its prequel - unit and terrain mechanics, general venturography (my own word for "general interaction desirability") and more.

Testing the maps for SC1 balance isn't always indicative of SC2 gameplay. They've done too many changes for the sequel for it to have any accuracy, although that depends on the individual map ofc.
