Best Buy has the price listed as 5 dollars. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/StarCra...781643&skuId=8719899&st=starcraft 2&lp=2&cp=1
I'm pretty sure that's the minimum price you have to pay at the time of the preorder, then you pay the rest when you go to pick the game up.
They removed the web page so I'm thinking it was a pricing error on their part. They originally had the price listed as 59.99 with the sale price being 4.99.
I saw the page and they even calculated the difference and everything... didn't seem like a mistake. I actually started checking what the shipping would cost Meh should've finalised it and then sued them if they wanted to back out.
the first thing I suspected was scam, the second error. No way Blizz would sell it to them at that price
yes, but they also aren't meant to make grand losses. Selling things for their buying value or slightly below is common. Selling them at less than one-sixth of their buying costs in the week it is released and probably becomes one of your best-selling things is just plain stupid.
This was just an error on their part. Although I know some people successfully ordered and paid 5 bucks. But I'm sure they'll get a refund and an e-mail soon.
depends on the number of people who bought. If it is low enough, they might just give them the game as to not get into legal trouble.
re $5 is probably all it cost to make the cd and put all the junk on it. Oh well, Blizzard has bills to pay also.
It's $5 down to reserve a copy. You then pay the difference when you pickup the actual game. It's a very simple concept that has been done for many games previously.
