SC2 Crash When looking at the News

    Hello.
I'll cut right to the chase- my game works perfectly from every angle, except one very annoying thing- whenever I try to look at the television (the "News") on the Hyperion, the game freezes for a while and then it kicks me out of the game and tries to file something on ErrorReporter.
After a few attempts I decided to just let it be and just.. well, not watch the news!
But then the cutscene after the Outbreak mission involves watching the news, and now I'm stuck!
I got an ATI Radeon HD 4800.
Ingame I'm playing with every graphic option to the max and I have no issues with it., runs smoothly. Also I tried lowering every graphic option to the lowest but still no banana.
I would appreciate any help here as I can't seem to find anything online.

Edit: I just realized while talking that it's the News, so obviously he'll be TALKING, and if it's not the graphics that's the issue, maybe it's the sound. Just to be sure I disabled ALL sound in the sound options and put everything on default. I was right. There was no sound, but it didn't freeze. I'll update in a sec exactly what was the issue. (just in case I'm not the only one?)

Well don't I feel dumb, it was all because my Speaker in the Sounds option was set to Pro Logic.
Anyway..... Mods lock away? or delete.

Post dxdiag please... we'll look at ALL drivers.

To run dxdiag=> Windows_logo_key+r, dxdiag. If you have 64-bit windows, click the button at the button that says "Run 64-bit DxDiag," Then save all the data by clicking "Save All Information..." zip/rar the text file and attach it to the post. Instructions on how to zip here. To create a rar file, first download and install winRAR then read this guide here.

Can you post some additional information on your PC, such as make and model? Also press Windows_logo_key+pause/break and tell me if you are using 32-bit or 64-bit Windows. After looking at your LAN drivers, I have to assume you are running 32-bit.

Also, I would do a Microsoft instant upgrade from Vista Home Basic to Home Premium, that could be part of the problem (*edit* you can't do this with Vista, Microsoft wants you to upgrade to Windows 7 instead). I honestly think this may be part of the reason your machine is having issues even though Blizzard doesn't specifically say it could be.

It's also possible that depending on what PC you put your 4770 into, you may not have a high enough wattage power supply to back it up (which is why I need to know the make/model of the PC).

Please follow this guide to make sure that the newest Catalyst drivers are installed.

Install the newest Realtek Sound drivers. Currently you are using a generic driver.

Your Microsoft LifeCam VX-800 does appear to have proper drivers for Vista o_O (it should); I would unplug it while playing the game.

Install your Intel chipset drivers. They are currently generic.

Install your Intel ACPI/SATA/RAID drivers. These too are also generic.

Install your newest Marvell Yukon LAN driver. Driver for both LAN network cards installed drivers are currently 3 years old.

Get back to me on your power supply and PC make and model. I somehow it's just drivers. Also, what are you using for virus protection? I none download Microsoft Security Essentials, its free, fast, low profile, and really good.

Try running chkdsk first to see if it corrects any file system errors.

    To run chkdsk:
    1. Run CMD as administrator (follow instructions)

    2. Once CMD is open as an admin, type "chkdsk c:" and let it run. If errors are reported, run "chkdsk c: /f" and when it can't force 'all open handlers' closed, keep pressing 'y' until it presents you the option of running on boot. Once you know chkdsk will run on boot, restart the computer.
