We should be able to make clans quite quickly and it might use the same system as WC3, but i don't beleive blizzard has said anything about clan-making so far since they're keeping tight lips on the new battle net.

Dont believe any dates which say Sc2 is being released on, its probably not going to happen unless blizzard says its the final date and everything is mostly finished.

hope, is the first step on the path of unhappiness. And trust me blizzard is just the warp, time means nothing to them, so no amount of research will help any one here,

Well i dunno... it was still going to be 2 expansions. Now they will all be large instalments like WoW ones... means we have at least 5 years of SC2 goodness to look forward too.

yes five long years, and for what two more campaigns? For me its a cost factor, if they're twenty or thirty dollars sure i'll get em, but if its full price no way in hell.

I just hope it wont be every two years that the SC2 games will be available.

In my opinion, the three campaigns are already written. The only thing to do is to put the stories in the game, with maps, units and characters. I never see that the zerg and protoss games will be patches of the first game. There is no need to add new units for each game, they just tell about campaigns that are too big to be in one game, so they make three game in place of one. If I'm wrong, pleaze show me links to the good articles.

After that, the market rules of Blizzard will say that put three game at one time is bad, that players taht get the first game won't buy the others without anything new for multiplayer. And it is the only thing that make me feel the games will maybe be patches and separated with a long time.

    Erm,
Earth to Arbaal? How can a new game be a patch? Those have nothing to do with the game itself. They fix bugs. I think you meant expansions. If so, then you are severely underestimating the amount of work that goes into making a mission.

Further, why would there be no need for new units in your opinion? Seriously, we have yet to see the final version of ANY unit in the first game. And even if we did, problems usually emerge after a few months of playing. Just look at the Brood War expansion to the original Starcraft. The expansion got an unit that originated from the alpha version of Starcraft: the Valkary. Why am I saying this? Simple: to say that we have seen nothing yet, and therefore obviously cannot judge the amount of units needed. You could estimate the amount, sure. However, saying that the number right now is just fine, without any arguments, is a pretty lame thing to say.

I should have said extensions. It is right. I'm from Belgium and I always have the same problem in english : find the good word.

But what I wanted to say in the post was that everybody seems to think that wings of liberty will be the game and the two others campaigns will be extensions. I never see any content saying that. What I have seen is three games (I emphasize on this word) with the same multiplayer part and the same editor. Why couldn't it be the three stand alone? Seen like that i don't imagine that it could take two years to do them. Remember that all the units, textures, effects, AI and scenarios are already done.

Add units in a balanced game is generally complicated, most of those units are clones of an old unit. The fact is that it was not the case for Brood War. But it is not similar here. Why? Simply because they have to do three games, so if they have to create new units, i think the result won't be as good as it was for Brood War.

And it is just what I think. I just see that so much people talk about extensions in its general definition (more maps, more units, ...) but I never have seen that it will be like this.
