SC vs LOTR What would win?

I'd have to say that it's a tie. SC has technology, but LOTR has all those crazy magical shtick like Balrogs, the Ring, dragons, etc. There's about a billion more orcs than all the Zerg combined, and there's the Nazgul, and you need magical swords to kill them, psi/warp blades don't cut it. Then you have Sauron, who could pretty much destroy every single living thing unless Zeratul or whoever chops off his fingers. Normal people from lotr would still be killed more easily, since their weapons and armor are so primitive. So the big guys from lotr are damn hard to kill, but the other guys are crazy easy, so I'd say a tie.

 

I would have to say it would be a tie. Then again both universes colliding would be disastrous as Zeratul v Gandalf. Duran v Eärendil. And Kerrigan well... Kerrigan v Melkor. For those who don't know LotR. http://www.glyphweb.com/ARDA/default.asp. Although... the forces that be in LoTr are mythical and the ones in Starcraft and Mysterious. So its still up in the air. I said Tie. Lotr + Starcraft V Halo + Warcraft. Now thats a war.

This is the first SC vs ... that I can honestly say that SC would have no problem in. I mean, have all the magic you want, there are just some things you can do with a Battlecruiser and a few Marines that you can't do with a few cursed kings riding dragon-things.

 

hmm well zerg will thrive adding new genes into the swarm and dark templars shall own pretty much everything on the ground and also LOTR doesn't have enough strong guys to defend them i mean a squadron of marines/firebat/ could be unstoppable and the ultralisk will be also a pain but then sauron will be invincible. Pretty complicated.

Yeah but there's the Valar, who're like gods, and Illuvatar, who's like the super god, god of gods, whatever. And gods can't be mind controlled. Maybe the strongest of the Xel'Naga could go up against them.

SC would win.. unless LoTR universe revolves around a new law of phyics rendering kinetics useless, then they might win.

If you knew shit about LoTR you'd know they dont hurl lightning bolts and fire balls at their enemies like WC or EQ... so magic doesnt really help them here. As for the ghosts they've been vindicated and moved on.

The Valar and Illuvatar don't give shits about anyone, Illuvatar only intervened when Aman was getting ass raped by MEN, MERE MEN... Somehow, if he's threatened by MEN I don't see how he could possibly be a match for a Xel' Naga or a potent Protoss...

In the current state of LoTR, after the Book of Wastmarch... A single marine, with infinite ammo could kill everyone.

Illuvatar intervened cuz the Men set foot on Aman which wasn't in his intention, not because they ass raped it. And not to mention that he sunk an entire continent. So, it would take him about three seconds to ground to dust the entire Protoss fleet in seconds. As for nuking Sauron... do you really think a ghost could stay alive near him long enough to nuke him? It's one thing to get past a missile turret, another to get past his eye and to the man himself. And even if he was nuked, he'd still be alive. He survived when his entire continent went under, how many nukes does it take to do that? Enough to kill about every living thing in the world. And he'd still be alive, since he dies when the Ring dies and the Ring only dies in Mt. Doom. The only way to kill him would be too attack with millions of lots and DTs and hope to cut off his ring. So it's a tie.

Illuvatar got wtfpwned, and men didn't have to do SHIT. In LoTR men can go toe to toe with the most magical beings and some of them probably the Valar, Elves im sure went toe to toe with the Valar, the most powerful one, and SOME Men were as good as those Elves so they could probably do it too... Anywho, if a MAN can stand his ground against a god, but not be able to kill it... Injure it, beat it down, but not kill it, then a Space marine could kill it. If not put it in Stasis forever..

And simply dictated by the rule that... they dont die.

Btw.. im pretty sure the only character in LoTR that couldn't kill Chris Benoit, if he wasnt already pooped would be a hobbit. (Main Characters) Swords are FTW...

 

Sc wins cuz whatever they cant destroy they will stasis and anyone don't bother nuking sauron just spawn broodling him and if that doesn't work build 2 million lings and bum rush him.
