Just a little off-balance conversation here.. Judging from a few screenshots, such as these: http://vilegaming.com/art.x/226 http://vilegaming.com/art.php?id=231 I'm actually happy that Blizzard decided to cancel StarCraft: Ghost. If the above screenshots were to be the final product, then the game would have failed horribly. Those screenshots were from around 2005, I think. And to have that low quality of a game in that time would hurt it a lot, especially for a shooter. Shooters just aren't meant to look clunky. Now about Blizzard's unannounced MMO.. I for one am hoping it turns out to be a "World of StarCraft", done right. There are many shooter/RPG combined MMOs out there that are fairly balanced and fun, like Savage, so I don't think this is too farfetched.
Emm I don't really know, I think SC-G hasn't been cancelled yet. (it wasn't in the officially cancelled list.) http://www.diablofans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6198 I couldn't find the official one roght now, but it is almost the same. Did I miss some news, and is SC-G really cancelled?.. By the way if Blizzard decides to release the game, they will surely remake the graphics.
i believe that startcraft ghost was cancelled... and btw, early development screenshots aren't anything to base your opinion of the game off, have you seen the alpha screenshots of starcraft? even starcraft2 still is getting remodeling...
I too belive it was cancelled. Also, I think the replayability of the game was too small. Play it, Beat it (the game that is), Store it away on your bookshelf between 'Diablo 2 guide' and '1940's battleships'. On the other hand, a SC MMO would be sweet. As long as its not a pay to play game that is.
http://multiplayerblog.mtv.com/2008...-ghost-wasnt-on-the-dice-canceled-games-list/ I think that was the last statement of blizzard about sc:g.
Starcraft: Ghost looked awesome. Too bad it's not in developement at the moment, -_-. However, i'd still prefer Starcraft 2 over it.
On StarCraft: Ghost... As of March 2008 Blizzard said it still hadn't been canceled (two years after postponement). However, in May we found out that a StarCraft: Ghost novel, called Spectres, is coming out, and it's going to novelize StarCraft: Ghost. (There are other products, but they're prequels.) I wish someone had (again) asked Blizzard about that at WWI. Maybe Blizzard would have had a different answer.
