Map Text Colors (StarCraft 1) On most SCUMS (StarCraft Use Map Settings) maps, you may have noticed that they use varying colors of text in their mission briefings, titles, and other text fields. Below is a list of colors available to you to use in-game, in transmissions, etc. etc. FAQ: Q: How do I use text colors? A: Simply copy any square character from the list provided below and insert it before the desired piece of text. Q: What do these square characters do? A: These square characters are special characters that change the color of the text displayed in your maps. Q: What are the values (I.E. 01, 02, 03) present before the special square character for? A: In SCM Draft 2.0, these are their hex values. NOTE: Some colors may or may not work. Test them out and enjoy!
COLOR LIST Reference: maplantis These control characters are for the pregame lobby. (Note for Mac users, all the characters that say "Black" are actually the most colorful texts!) Note: Due to patch 1.14, if the Align characters ? which were used to create the text overlap effect ? are used in the Map Title, they will make that map unjoinable by other players on battle.net. Players attempting to join the game will receive an error message. Also as of 1.14, all control codes are non-functional in force titles. Either you have korean language installed in your windows or some other language installed. But I see characters nowdays to old days when use to just be a box. I think possible that was an update in Starcraft that did this.
Thought so, since day I installed the korean language to my windows would only display characters. So didnt bother me too much. But others it did, glad I could of helped ya.
