    Hi all,

Just curious why the terrans and protoss are fighting each other. Zerg hatred is understandable, but the protoss seems mindful of other higher level species from what I've read. Is it then just a territorial feud, or is it deeper than that?

After a vicious war that resulted from Protoss trying to police other alien races, the Protoss "backed off" in regards to even interacting with other alien species. They only stepped in to incinerate planets which had been/would quickly be overrun by the Zerg, and most of these planets bore Terran colonies. As you can imagine, having an alien race show up from nowhere and glass your planet with no explanation would make anyone understandably pissed. I wouldn't be surprised if Mengsk has exploited this fact in propaganda to demonize the Protoss as much as he as Raynor.

The protoss blew up Chau Sara and Mar Sara, that is why the average citizen and the confederacy would hate them. And they were in Mengsk way during his battle on Tarsonis and they allied with Raynor, which would explain the hate from the dominion. the UED planned to overthrow the protoss. Fenix led a mineral-stealing assault on Moria. Only Umoja has no real reason to hate them.

Makes you wonder why the toss didn't bother trying to evacuate any of the innocents on those worlds. It's not like they didn't have the logistics for it.

    Damn you Metzen, damn you.

It was because of their policy of non-interference. Tassadar risked his career by waiting for terrans to be evacuated. Helping was out of the question.
