Hey, I used to always use a couple Reapers after I popped out two marines into a Bunker (to defend) to Harass the enemy's Mineral Line (followed by a couple of cloaked Banshees). Now with the Factory needing to be up before Jumppack can be Researched it takes far too long to get them up and running for Harassment. Was just wondering do people quickly get the Factory up too get those Reapers out for Early Harassment? (by that time I'd rather get Siege Tanks)

I don't think anybody really got the speed upgrade for basic harass unless they wanted to go "all in" or make sure the reapers do crazy damage, but most people just went for a safer 2-3 reaper harass because if it failed ur not far behind and you still put them on edge and got tech info w.e

How do you sneak in though when you can't do those high jumps in near the back and have to try and go throught the front where the main defenses are?

I guess they're suited to some maps more than others. I usually pick an area near the side and then skirt along the edges until I reach their mineral line.

Yeah reapers have basically been removed from the game now. I used to use them for harass with the speed upgrade, but its only annoying at plat and above. Now, they're just too slow to use early game and worthless later game.

(Yeah, I only ever used them for Early Harassment too.) A shame but understandable.

I still think a late 'mass' reaper build is viable, used similarly to ling hit and run tactics while avoiding the enemy, but more effective since they can cliff jump and decimate buildings a lot faster. If they hit your base you rely on Terran ramp blocking to swing the difference in unit balance (and you can actually snipe a few buildings a still have the reapers make it back to your base in time to help defend), if they hole up in their base you gain significant map control. I certainly find it a fun strategy :p.

They should just make the Jumppack longer to Research instead of all this needing to Build a Factory crap.
