I play sax, drums and I'm learning guitar (very slowly).

I'm in my school band. And I can play a mean air guitar.

i play the piano, pretty much hate classical music (which doesn't go well with learning the piano), so now i'm just a ABRSM grade 8 freestyler on the piano with nothing much to do with this talent. lol

know where to get good rock scores for piano? i've kinda learnt daniel powter's "Bad Day", love it. damn sick of trying to decipher what whoever's playing with just my ears.

I dunno where you'd get it, but MUSE, a British rock band, has a good amount of piano in some of their songs. Also, pretty much any true Gothic rock (Symphonic metal) band worth it's salt has a keyboardist.

I myself play the electric bass, just got me a new one a couple weeks ago, aw yeah.
I also wanna learn to play the piano (Weird, I know)

i'm currently playing the viola ( not the violin, the viola ) and the piano. I used to play the precorder? I think that's what it was called. Not to sure, it was required that we learn it in my old elementary school. O and i used to play the harp ( yes, the harp, it's not just for girls ) but i didnt really like it, just the way it sounded.

wow thats cool.. having some experience with many instruments is great...

yeah i know what you mean by precorder.. it's recorder.. i'm french and i've learned this word very recently.. I find it weird because in french it's called "Flute à bec".. which would mean something like
    "Flute with a beak"

I tried both the guitar and the bass guitar but I have no talent for that. Now I produce with music programs and saving up for 2 turntables, but neither are really instruments :p

Hmm well.. i played the recorder in 3rd grade :D. I also started playing Violin in 3rd grade and played it until 7th grade. Then in my Freshman year I started playing guitar. Im a senior now (Hell yes! ><) and i still play guitar. Its soooooooo much fun. Peter, if your interested in playing guitar, i say "go for it." the first year or so is a little difficult. but once you get to the point where your fingers just kinda move on their own, and trust me, they will, thats when guitar gets fun. just go to a pawn shop, buy a 50$ guitar, print up some tabs, and play. thats exactly how i learned. Or you could take a class or buy a book. "guitar for dummies" lol. I took a guitar class in my Sophomore year, but my friend and i were so far ahead of the class that we would just jam in the back room all hour. it was a pretty rad class.

I also had to play recorder when I was younger as it was the school-instrument. Now I play guitar (acoustic and electric). Been "playing" since 2003, but I started to take it a bit more seriously just a few years back. To the beginners I would tell to buy quality contrary to the suggestion of JudasXPriest (And I don't necessarily mean anything very expensive. Many starterpacks are way too expensive when you think about their quality. Some low end Ibanez is always better). I mean, at least if you think it's going to be anything serious. If you just wanna fool around then the pawn shop guitar would suit better. Never believe music store salesmen as they are glad to sell you the worst and the highest prices. Ask your musical friends or guitar forums what's the best for beginners. It's a great intrument and I recommend it too. And remember, it's not about the technique, it's about the music. Music is art and should be treated as such.
