    I think it's disgusting. I'm glad I won't be playing zerg outside of campaign so I won't have to choose between it's abilities and overlord's superior look

    Thanks for all the information in the Q&A really informative.

    I like how they splitted the Overlord into 2 different unit instead of 1 being upgraded. To be frank I already talked a long time ago with my friends about how the overlord was the best unit in SC1. Flying, food, detection, and can be upgraded to more sight, transport and faster, Overlord had everything except an attack (good thing). NOW you need to upgrade an overlord to be detector and by what we can see, it will be fairly easy to the enemy to target those overseer seeing how different graphically they are from overlords.

    Good thing but, Zerg was suppose to evolved, not devolve. Lore wise why would the overlord loose is Detection..

    Don't get me wrong I am not against the idea at all.. But it is strange that evolution is letting go that awesome ability :)

    the overseer is ugly, i kinda didnt really like the idea where the overlord has its detection taken away, but anyway, does the oversear have detection along with its enhanced range?

    Yes. The Overseer is a detector as a base ability.

    When is the Overseer available, and is it even upgradable before Protoss get Dark Templars?

    Cuz we all know, Dark Templars > Zerg -detecters

    I'm still upset that even with the upgrade to overseer you still can't transport units.
    I guess it was equivalent to a clown car when you stuffed a ultralisk and 4 lings into a overlord. :p

    Actually I have a question related to this about zerg transport. Currently in SC2 it seems that the terrans have 2 modes of transport (drop ship and drop pods); the protoss also have two modes (warpgate and phase prism) yet the zerg only have one (Nydus worm). The queen can deep tunnel to other areas of the map where there are zerg buildings, but only she can do that. The real problem that I can see here is that the zerg no longer have an air transport and the Nydus worm supposedly cannot tunnel under an area of water. Also it would not be able to travel from one space platform to another space platform.

    So my question is this: how are the zerg's ground forces supposed to be able to reach an island area of a map if they no longer have an air transport mechanism?

    I think that the overlord isnt a transporter right now is because of this:
    Mision: Kill a base
    Do the following:
    1. Load a overlord with 4 nydus worms
    2. Unload them and get your whole army to the base
    3. GG

    Also, @ furrer, you only really need one Nydus worm to transport almost an entire army of Zerg troops.

    That would just speed it up, and else the enemy could just destroy that one, so it was just for an even STRONGER attack.

    furrer, first of all, i honestly doubt with every particle of my being that the nydus worm could ever be loaded into an overlord, and second of all, the flaw with your plan is that if the overlord encounters pretty much any AA, you will lose all 4 worms, and thirdly, even if for some obscene reason that the worms could get loaded into an overlord, there would be no way in hell that there could be 4.
