hmmmmm well this is pretty much what we expected....

I am hoping for release on 1st April 2008 though because that marks the 10 year anniversary of starcraft 1

 

well the game wont be out, but I'd be willing to bet the beta will release on the 10th anniversary of starcraft.

 

Its quite possible that you're right =P. And I probably wont have 5000 minerals. But who knows, especially with april fools in there, imagine the possibilities for hurt XD

 

Wouldn't it be funny if Blizzard did it as an April Fools joke?

I'm seeing all these sites that says it will be released on October 1st 2008. And that's what my local game stores told me as well so.....

Theres no way blizz would be able to ship the game without one store leaking it XD.

and its funny that game stores have a date that blizzard doesnt even have. must be using time travel or something.

 

I pretty sure Blizzard knows exactly when the game will be released, they are just not telling us. Major chain outlets would have set up a deal with Blizzard already or something. BTW I asked EB games and they told me it's 1/10/08.

I think they might even go for the "midnight launch" thing where fans starts to camp outside the store on the evening of 30/9/08, and rushes in to buy the game as soon as it strike midnight....

 

Why would they take 2 years to make a game, well 1 year from now, when they said it'd be released in next year. They wouldn't make it all the way to october.

Actually no it wouldn't. I personally think April Fools Day is a dumb "holiday" and just gives people an excuse (like they need one) to be unfunny assholes.

yeah, i also think so. at least make it within our lifetimes. hahaz... with the new protoss units and everything (hope you guys saw the pc gamers' leaked video, it pretty much rocks), i don't deny that they're going to have a damn hard time balancing the game. not to mention weeks and weeks of testing the game to see if it's perfectly balanced.

but yeah, if they really need so much time to perfect the game, so be it man. even if it takes 2 years. but hopefully not longer.

 

i guess the longer it takes them to release the more work they get to put into it making an absoloutley SOLID! Kickass game

 

I think it will be done and shipping first half of 2008, they have said that you could play it now in multiplayer, so it is the singleplayer part and the balance they are working on, so i am betting and hoping for summer 2008.
