Pro Korean gamers get hot girls.
Unfortunately, I am American so being a Pro Gamer would not have these perks.

You used the wrong affect/effect! ZOMUHFUHGAW! You said effected. Effect is a noun. Affect is a verb.

I think that blizzard will after a few patches have the game in a really good balance, and i think that most of the Pro players will make the change, i dont think that it is because they are masterminds of ûber strategy that they are so good, but simple because they are so determined to train, and practice so they know all about the game, i read in one of the articles about a pro player, that he would play it for 10 hours every day, hehe damn and that is for 10 years....

I think they will make the change to the new game...who wouldnt... ;)

I wonder if they would dim down the potential air time of starcraft 2 so the impact on starcraft and warcraft 3. I know that when it's a slow day for warcraft 3 replays I go back to watching starcraft, it may be the same case with starcraft 2. With a bit of market research, they could maximize the income of all three games if they don't give too quickly in to the temptation of the new sensation. Demand affects supply, but demand can't control supply!

I have already reserved my copy of SC2 on EBGames.com for $60 total with overnight shipping and everything included. The only problem now is the wait. :( It's kind of hard to believe the Battlechest for the original Starcraft with Broodwar is only selling for $10. But then again, price isn't really my issue when it comes to Blizzard games.

I thought about preordering starcraft 2 but I recently preordered world in conflict and that comes out considerably sooner. So I'll do it later for starcraft 2. Maybe they'll have some further incentive to preorder like with world in conflict where you are guaranteed a spot in the beta.

Is that deal with respect to the Beta still going on for world in conflict?

In my opinion to the topic, I think most of the South Korean pro players will move onto SC2 (Please let me be one of them lol) mainly for change of strategies and new way to play, instead of just playing for cash. They are motivated enough to go on to try new things and see if it's worth becoming pro at, and if not...than they will certainly move back to StarCraft

After a few initial patches to get out the kinks, and a little time to make sure SC2 is balanced for the most part, Korea will surely move onto SC2.  I said Korea, not pro players.  Because it really is Korea's decision, not so much the individual progamer's.  Once that's in motion, no one will look back to SC1.  And when the expansion comes out(you know there will be one, guaranteed), the Korean pro leagues will all jump on that as well.

That's just how Korea works.  Very few Koreans are genetically capable of resisting the hot and new "in" thing, so long as it's within their range of interests.  We are big suckers to fads and group mentality.  Even though Koreans on average have less financial income than Americans, they switch out to the newest $500 cell phone so often like you wouldn't believe.  Even little kids all have nice ass phones.

You can rest assured that the pro leagues and also the progamers themselves won't be able to hold out for too long while heated games of SC2 are taking place in internet cafes all over the country.
