Josh, that type of feedback is outside the realm of constructive criticism. You've made a couple comments like these. Unless you can specifically say why you feel a poem or entry could be better, please withhold your comments. Thanks. I thought this poem had a nice rhythm, but I didn't get a sense of any deep meaning. It feels rather superficial to me. This may just be the fact that the topic is the meaning of a video game, but perhaps you could find a more central and hidden theme to add by choosing different words to express the meaning.
i like the subject of the poem. are the last 6 lines supposed to be together? or was it a formatting mistake and they should form two 3 line verses like the first 6 lines?
This poem would fit perfectly on a greeting card. Which isn't really a bad thing or a good thing. It's somewhat clever - it flows smoothly off the tongue. At the same time it's not going to tug any heartstrings or stand out really... but seriously - I could easily see this printed on some kind of starcraft knick-knack, a worthy effort
allo all, congrats to the winners of the comp i really enjoyed readin all the entries anyway, i thought seein its over now, i might explain my poem markus said it seemed that the words were just put there to rhyme, people didnt seem to get it, but fair enough. But yeah i thought id explain it starcraft is, as starcraft was, a game that people share. (yeah pretty obvious, just to get it started) for all of people, who speak their mind, will find the makers care. (this is talking about how the makers, being blizzard, listen to people who speak their mind such as all of us on these forums.) starcraft is, not just a game, it is something truely rare, (this is saying that starcraft isnt just a game, its a whole community involving discussions, art, gameplay, mateships, whole communities, more than just a game. This,.. and the following bit, is what is truely rare.) for when the players, own the game, they'll know its truely theirs. (truely theirs, meaning when a player goes and buys the starcraft box from the shop, the new owner will know that he or she had an input into creating that game, because his or her voice played a part in these forums, truely theirs.) So, my poem was about how blizzard listens to forums like this one, its a rare thing to happen, and when the game comes out, we can all go and buy it knowing that we had input into the final product, its something special that we shouldnt take for granted. Thats what my poem was about.
