Sc2 gives no warning or signs of crashing it just does... In game out of game, its very odd. No other game does this, all temps are good. Here is the dxdiag. Help me fix this please.

I don't see anything in the DxDiag that would point to your computer being underpowered.

Have you tried reinstalling it? It's possible it's a corrupt file.

Yes, I did twice. I had a problem applying the patch during the first install and game crashed so I figured it was a bad patch update so I re-installed sc2 again (clean install and patch update.) Still crashes... here is the sc2 error report if that helps. Thank you for the reply.

EDIT: I am using the disk to install, should I try dl'ed copy?

    Ok now that's useful.

How many RAM sticks do you have? Two sticks of three Gb each or three sticks of two Gb each? It's possible you have a bad stick, there error report is saying that it can't access a section of memory. Either you've got a bad RAM or your HD is failing.

    I think.

    "ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xC0000005)
occurred at 0023:00CC9289. The memory at '0x2143D12C' could not be read."

Means that your computer couldn't access a chunk of memory. I dunno which slice of memory 5 is, but yeah

    Try the DL version.

The 0x2143D12C is the place on the memory stick itself, the 0x000005 tells us which compenent of the computer it is (harddrive, RAM, video mem, etc). The problem it that is varies from computer to computer which piece that refers to I believe.

OR try not installing it to C:/Program Files(x86).

Sometimes things act strange in Program Files, try making a C:/Games folder and install it there.

Ok, I think I fixed it but dont want to jinx myself lol. After running every hardware test scanner known to man I couldnt find a damn thing wrong with my comp, which is good. I found out that you can run a file checker for sc2 tho! The exe is in ur sc2 installation dicertory under the support file, then run the repair.exe, it seemed to fix my problem (knock on wood...) Anyway thanks for the help, I will update again in a week with either good or bad news. -Matt
