So I've been gone for about 6 months from Starcraft II and before I was a platinum player easily and usually gave diamonds a run for their money. I come back 6 months later and play one league qualifying round and suddenly it ranks me to 70 gold. Since when has the qualifying matches been set to one round?
It's an up-and-down match, since you have already been placed on a division and depending on how close to ranking up or ranking down you are you play a match to either maintain your position/go down a division or gain a division/maintain your position, though I believe it's mostly the first, not sure...
