Numero Uno. Just my opinion, though. I have a soft spot for ladies, especially those done in Anime form. It's a little racy, I suppose, but nothing this forum can't handle. Infact, the racier the better! Very nicely done, by the way, I love the shade of green used.
I accidentally picked #2 when I meant #1. but then again, if I didn't, you wouldn't have this moment of a nicely distributed result.
The second, but with a better colour for the text. The first is just generic anime rubbish. Everyone has that and it's all just plain and generic. Absolutely nothing special or unique about it. The third is an interesting design, but I have no clue what it's of and no colours have been used, which is a definite minus. The second's your best bet, though you need to change the colour of the text. At the moment it just blends in far too much. A much lighter green would be much more suitable in my opinion.
Totally agreed Hex. Theres way too much anime sigs and avatars around this forum. It's not that I hate anime its just that it's too overused. I voted number 2 alto the text needs to be changed to a different color so it stands out.
Well. I think Warcraft 2 and Gears of War Signatures are far too overused. As well as Starcraft based signatures and Avatars. Anime is a form of art style. I could argue there's too much Non-anime for the forum, or too many real art in signatures. Just different stylings.
So I'm the only one on this forum with a cartoon???(Invader zim ftw) Yah it's a form of art style, but cant you guys use something else??? Its like what all of you use nowadays, and I would like to see some new kinds of things. Archlimit pretty much proved my point with his artwork that stunned everyone.
Why would I use something else? I enjoy the stylings of Anime. People who use Anime in their signatures and Avatars enjoy Anime. Why change it? For you? I think not. And yes, I agree, Anime is extremely popular. But so are things from Video Games, American Cartoon Series, Bands, etc. If everyone on the forum started using a Signature of their favourite band, would you get on their case for using Musically related rubbish?
Well this is a gaming community, so it's understandable that there're a lot of them, but seeing as it's all in a gaming context, I wouldn't say it's overused. Arguing there's too much non-anime on the grounds that anime's an art style is like arguing that there's not enough Impressionist or Post-Modernism. It's not like you can have one of the two categories, there're tonnes of them. Out of all the categories, and in the given context, I'd say it's seriously overused, and in my opinion, anime as a whole is seriously overrated.
In your opinion. Over used? Maybe. But then, couldn't I argue that I think Photography is overrated? Or maybe the Mona Lisa? Everyone knows the Mona Lisa, just like everyone knows what Anime is, but to me, the Mona Lisa is just a painting of a woman. Sitting. To you, it seems like Anime is just a bunch of bubbly eyed sluts with terribly out of proportion bodies and unrealistic features. But it's foolish to call it rubbish, even if you dislike it. At least be respectful, and please, don't try and tell me to use something else.
Yeah, that's why I said in my opinion. It's obviously not your opinion. I certainly think that both photography and the Mona Lisa are overrated. Photography, at an artistic level, is only useful, again in my opinion, when either drawing attention to particular issues and current affairs or when presented at a personal level. There can be other areas that make you think, being more surreal, and it was useful in the progression of artistic style, both enforcing the Impressionist movement and breaking conventions in relation to Post Modernism, but I simply do think it's overrated as there's very little skill in the art making practice involved. As for the Mona Lisa, there's no doubt that it's not extremely well painted and that Da Vinci was an extremely skilled painter, but the work itself is just far too static. There's no subjective response and little interaction with the viewers apart from appreciating the skill, if that. In my opinion it's predominantly popular amongst very conservative art fans and critics. I certainly don't think of it in the terms in which it's presented. Also, I can appreciate people's liking of anime, and I've never tried to tell you to use something else (I dunno where you pulled that one from). I've only ever spoken in my opinion.
You win. D: And, my appologies. It was directed to Demo's statement, asking why we couldn't use something else. I should have said as such.
Sweet. And no probs. I probably shoulda checked what it was actually in reference to, but was in a rush for dinner. Sad, but true.
