which do you prefer? they both been made to face against multiple units, but do have differences.
beside that, i was bored, and wanted to see how people look at each of these abilities.

    Psi Storm

does 112 damage to everything in an area
    cost 75 energy
comes from High Templar(bit of a late game unit)
hurts/kills any unit that gets under it
max damage to one unit: 112
max damage to multiple units: 112 to each unit

    Molecular Displacement

does 100 damage overall, does 10 damage to first target then must bounce to do more damage.
may bounce back to units it already hit(means it bounces around randomly)
    cost 125 energy
    comes from Nullifier(early game unit)
    only affects enemies
max damage to one unit: 50 (but needs another unit nearby to take the other 50 damage cuz if there was only 1 enemy unit on the field it would only take 10 damage)
max damage to multiple units: 100(but spreaded out randomly, 1 unit could taken 50 damage while 5 others took only 10 each, or 10 units took 10 each, ect.)

    again which would you prefer?

I'm glad you described them because I had no idea what molecular displacement did. It's chain lightning in space so I vote for the axe. Psi storm all the way!

does molecular displacement just attack the hp directly or damages shields first?
    Psi storm still wins.

he means molecular displacement i think :p

Depending on how massable nullifiers will be i think it can be a pretty strong ability.

But nothing beats the dread of seeing high templar emerge from the fog of war right near your grouping hydralisks, knowing you don't have time to react...

One HT, wth, I normally have three at key points.

And psi storm. Though a few displacers could help against a few dozen zerglings.

I think you guys are not considering a few things..

1- Psi storm is avoidable. Unless you're a total noob you can move your units around to receive minimum to practically no damage.
While on the other hand, ''chain lightning in space'' hits all of the units it can possibly hit with no chance of the enemy avoiding it (considering of course that the speed of the bounce is similar to the actual WC3 chain lightning and not slower.. or faster :O)

Sooo if the speed of the bounce is equally as or faster than the WC3 Chain Lightning, casting MD with maybe 5 or 6 nullifiers is pretty much an instant kill of at least 75% of the enemy army (depending of course the content of the army, youre not gonna kill 12 ultras with it but early-mid game units will fall, not to mention workers that would easily fall with just 2 or maybe 3 of them properly placed)

So my vote definitely goes to MD. Plus it's new and I like new D:

Storm isn't normally used unless there are enough units around to warrant its use. When there are that amount, the opposing player or the enemy AI can't move them all out of the way fast enough. Sometimes, even if he could move them out of the way with speed and skill, they units taking the storm are just too weak to take the few seconds they are in the storm.

MD, is going to be good for early units and it comes early enough in the game to make sense of that. Storm is still going to be the chioce spell for hitting units with, even with MD added to the list.

Due to the random nature of Molecular Displacement, I think it should be removed. Starcraft is all about knowing what your enemy is doing and control. If you introduce skill that is random, they just won't get used. If casting this spell has a *chance* to damage from 10 to 100 damage, you'll keep that energy for another skill that will be 100% efficacy..

Well, it still will help when dealing with numbers. A large attack of zerglings will be a lot easier to deal with if you cast it on them.
