I was wondering if I can edit my voice to sound like a Protoss one. If so, what program to use? And what to do?

    Hmm

    Good question.

I'd say it's a octave drop, bounced through a flanger (Maybe chamber? Idk) and with a few added effects.

As far as the program, you could give Goldwave a try. It's a free-to-try audio editing program with some pretty nifty effects. If you get real serious about audio stuff, I recommend shelling out for the full version, it's pretty good.

Anyways, yeah. just mess around with the settings, echo and flanger mostly. It should be doable.

MS Sam is the bull**** answer.

I would try "Talk It!" though.

    i got goldway.
play around with phaser/flanger, octaves, echo and very little delay effect.
with other things...put bass up for that overwhelming sound/feel.
    play around with other things.

Just recently I was getting interested in ways to edit my voice for various reasons, this thread comes just right. Great thanks for the goldwave tip.

    That sounds so wrong. XD

By the way, does anyone know what voice actors are returning for Starcraft 2? I heard -Yeah, I do it as well.- on various sites that the one who did the voice of Kerrigan will not be returning. Something about her wanting to much money.

Isn't that kind of off topic Aurora?

To answer your question though: yes, Glynnis Talken won't return to do the voice of Kerrigan.

But what kind of rumor is that? She must have asked for a lot of money if that was the reason, developer being Blizzard... I think they just imagine Kerrigan in SC2 having a slightly different voice/more suited voice actor.

Well, I was trying to fit it in, but deleted that again. I will say it anyway now:

It would be cool if there was software, which you could use to mimic existing voices. Then you could, for example, mimic the original voice actors and use them in custom cinematics. But I think you will have a hard time of finding a free version of something like that. If it even exicsts, of course.

Gasmaskguy, i didn't like Kerrigan's voice anyway.. I hope they change the voice actor for Raynor. He sounds horrible. I would have to play as him as he is now..

an alternative program to use could be Audacity, it works quite well!
