Protoss strats

    I am quite new to starcraft 2 and i enjoy playing protoss, but i only know 2 strats the proxy 4 gate and 2 gate :L anytime i use these i usually win but i get called a noob. so really what is a good protoss strategy that isnt nooby? :L

    Well, any kind of rush tactic will probably be met with the "noob" comment.

    Instead of a strat try working on actual gameplay skills, such as macro, unit building, avoiding supply block and unit mix based on scouting opponents (for example if you are playing T and see they are going with an MMM bioball you want to build it HT's with psyonic storm or Collosi)

    If you see Banshee's you'll want to get stalkers stalkers and either stick 1 or 2 cannons in your mineral line for detection or build an observer or two (the cannons will be cheaper but the observers more useful in the long run)

    I usually go 4 warpgate and harrass for a bit then based on the response I get either drop 4-6 more gates (if they look like they're going factory units or one of the above two for bioball.

    I'm by no means an expert but that's how I've been playing it and I've been doing pretty good lately.

    thanks for the reply :) and yeh i guess i never really think about the game in the long run, i go all in with a 4 or 2 gate so im gunna try this thanks :)

    Also, try to experiment around with ideas that seem cool to you, without minding possible losses... You'll learn something in the process... And while experimenting, always keep working on your fundamentals...
