Probe sounds

Since there are so many big important threads going already, I figured it might be okay to post a ... not so important one? Not so main big important one?

I was just wondering what you all thought about the Protoss Probe sounds. Personally, I think they're absolutely adorable! I specifically like the sound that's close to "Meow!", and the "Nyaww" one it makes when he wants to build somewhere but can't cause something's in the way. It's so sad! It sounds a lot like a Dutch equivalent of "awww" too, only Protoss-like.

I also like how when you click it a lot it tried to speak English with you, even attempting a "what do you need" (aww! I just thought, it's still trying to help! Okay, it's just cute).

I like the Choo-ah! sound the best.

And the error message is just sad. You really feel it's disappointment when you can't build there.

 

That's true they look cute too =P and it's fun trying to type out their sounds - it kinda ends up differently for everyone =D

When I play (I always play protoss) I always mimic their sound everytime I use a probe.. lol

LOL me too sometimes, though not always I guess... especially when giving them lotsa orders... each time it makes a noise, repeating it exactly sounds cool XD

how cute are they when they are carrying a chunk of mineral??!!??
why can't all protoss units be as cute as probes??

 

Really? I'll take a look =D I didn't notice them being any cuter like that, but it sounds cute already the way you said it xD hehehehe

EDIT: I just took a look... and you're right! It's really cute! =P lol lol... guess it's just I dunno, their determination, willingness to help, just the way they look in general, bravely carrying that chunk of minerals... ::swoons::

 

i swear i hear probes say 'oh baby' .... i always pause to go 'what the hell?'

 

Most of the robot units sound great in starcraft, reaver and observer too. Only the shuttle sucks.

I really like every protoss sounds.. arbiter, corsair.. everything

 

And carriers, they sound so mighty ;D

 

Indeed. Every Protoss unit is freaking awesome.

However, there is one cooler, more awesome, than all the 'toss units put together.




The Battlecruiser. Uh-huh. How can you argue with "Make it so" in a freaking awesome Russian voice?

 

By hearing "battle cruiser operational" in a freaking awesome Russian accent.

i think one of the things that make starcraft1 so good is the sounds and death animations, theres nothing more staisfying than killing a zergling. they way it explodes and the sound it makes, makes it sound worth killing.
