This map is very professional IMO, despite being a not-so-original concept. I give it a 8.0 for lack of originality but professional design and execution.

*Note that (if you see a copy of this thread) the copy is broken, and is probably a thread created by a forum glitch.

Looking good! I think I have commented you enough on battle.net with how great the map is looking. I have seen no flaws and everything works as you designed it. Perfect example of good map making right there!

Keep it up and stay gold!

P.S. You might also want to take a look at our Map Development Tools and Utilities thread for a program called SCM to JPEG so you could take minimap pictures without having to crop it in an image editing program.

    mmkay...

    tester questions:
-the science vessel below keeps going away... it does go back to its orig position but what if it doesn't?
-in the zergling wave, one zergling was casted with defense matrix, glitch or intentional?
-if you walled (but left a place where they can go through) in the lings wave, and they killed all of your units and killed all of your walls, they don't move after that... i suggest having multiple locations with "atleast one unit" condition and "issue attack/move to (location beside it)" "preserve trigg"
    -what editor did you use?

    He used X-tra Editor.

As for your walling situation, it's your own damn fault for walling XD. When the next level comes, whoever was on that side wouldn't be able to stop it anyways, so you will lose eventually.

im using xtra editor and i dont seem to find the tool for the custom terrain
you know, the square 10x10px you can walk on, unlike the normal editor with the huge diamond blocks for terrain, hope you know what i mean

Have a look at our StarCraft Map Development Tools and Utilities and look for SCMDraft or StarForge under the Advanced Applications category. They allow you to place square terrain and even allow for some "custom" terrain features.

He used SCMDraft (0.8.0) along with X-TRA Editor.

Well... the walling beacons are near the starter. it destroys a 2x28 Patch to allow Large units to go threw. ( player 1 controls )

The sci vessel it can be anywhere on the map and you'll still get it

LOL AT MATRIXED LING though... Funny but makes you lose lol

If you plan on using both isometrical (diamond) and rectangular (square) terrain, I would suggest SCMDraft simply because it has high-quality output for both. If you are doing just isometrical, I would suggest the basic campaign editor, because it is the least chance of any sort of bug, and was designed for that kind of terrain. For just rectangular, I usually either use scmdraft or starforge... depending on whether I feel like saving multiple files or taking forever to do triggers... :p
